Perfect Athen Sightseeing Start // Perfekter Einstieg ins Sightseeing von Athen

We booked a German Tour at 09:30 A.M. in mid of September. It was fantastic. I Love cycling vacation and History. Its a fantastic way to explore the old town of Athen. To check Out which Sightseeing Spot is worth seeing. Especially If you already booked the Athen Pass for later that day. We we were the only participents and so we got a Walk without the bikes through the special Part of Athen Plaka on top. A little greek yoghurt snack was also included. But I would recommend a Trip during the morning outside of Main season. Athen is really hectic City and without the Guide we would be lost between Walkers, Scooters and Cars. An E-Bike is worth it because of the many hilly roads. Not recommend for not fit older peoples or children in my optinion. Our Tour Guide Sandra was half German and spoke perfectly German and was super nice. We couldn't ask for a better Tourguide 10/10.

Great e perience, great guide, good food

We took the ride ride and bite tour. Nice to go round Athens beginning of the evening. Soft light, good atmosphere. Three stops for food and nice views during the ride. Joost had nice explanations and good conversation. Do not miss this experience. Saskia and Jan

Too long

Our tour was moved to the afternoon so no dinner was included. Random route with no photo stops. Very knowledgeable and friendly guide. 3 hrs on a bike in the city in summer heat is hot and bikes had no place to carry water.

Great tasty ride along hiddem gems

It was great to sightsee Athens from a different angle guided by an expert guide who really “live” Athens. Biking through the inner small streets of the different neighbourhoods along cosy hidden gems we would normally have overlooked. Guide Joost masters the skill of storytelling to make you understand more about the gastronomics of the city. Our 8-year old daughter was involved into the tour in a natural and engaging manner. A relief for the parents. Last but not least; you will taste great food which would usually not land on your plate being a tourist.

Bikes &Bites and lots of fun!

Bike tour of Athens with Mr Joost! There are a couple of ways to visit a city. By car (stuck in traffic all the time), by Hop-on Hop-off bus (nice way but very superficial), by foot (actually the best way but you don’t get very far), by subway (:-), or by bike! Your traveling range is increased but it’s still “slow” enough to really be part of every day life of the Athenians. We always book the bike-tours when on a city trip! This time we booked the “culinary” tour. The combination of listening to stories of Athens, (not only ancient Greece even though you practically can’t get around that), the Athenians and their look on life, together with the stories of the passionate restaurant owners that try to continue a family tradition (Maria), or start something new, hip and trendy (To Kouki) made this trip very special and definitely worth while. Guide Joost is a great storyteller. Knowledge and humor go hand in hand during this three hour ride through the narrow streets of Athens. Stories about Greek traditions regarding their food and drink, about the street art and even a bit about politics, even though that can be like touching an open nerve sometimes. Very enjoyable, entertaining and educational! Don’t leave Athens before taking a bike tour!

Cycling in nice neighborhoods and eating in authentic restaurants with a friendly guide

A pleasant bike ride with Joost through a number of nice places in Athens. To Psiri to enjoy beautiful Greek starters with live music in a full Taverna. Then through Flakka to another nice restaurant for the main courses. Ended with beautiful views and an ice cream. A really fun activity to get an impression of the center of Athens

Surprising culinary bike tour with Joost

A fantastic bike tour with guide Joost with many interesting facts, but also with surprising discoveries. The food along the way was very tasty and for dessert a great view of the city and the illuminated Acropolis. All in all a pleasant and successful evening.

Great culinary tour

The culinary tour is highly recommended! Joost took care of our tour and we received a well-organized tour with anecdotes, history and culture. You will also visit nice local restaurants. My sister is a vegetarian and very careful attention was paid to the various restaurants. Good bikes, good food and fun. We will definitely come back again.

Nice bike tour in Athens

Joost guided us with great humor through the Athens traffic from one cozy restaurant to the next. In the meantime we heard some nice anecdotes. The food was tasty and typically Greek. Traffic in Athens is absolutely not geared towards cyclists. Joost did his best to guide us as best as possible, but for those who do not know how to cycle or are easily frightened, it is quite a challenging ride between Greek drivers.

Leuke tocht, heel erg aan te bevelen!! Eten is ook erg lekker! Leuk om te doen met je familie, en goed gezelschap!

Heel erg leuke tour, de Nederlandse gids Joost vertelde op een zeer gepassioneerde wijze over de stad. Verder kom je in 3 restaurantjes waar je als toerist normaal gesproken niet zo snel zou komen, en het eten was hier ook heerlijk en ook zeker genoeg🤪. Fantastische fietstour door Athene

We hebben een 5 uur lange Ride&Bike tour gedaan onder begeleiding van Joost. Ontzettend mooie tour, leuke tussenstops met uitleg door de enthousiaste gids Joost, met vele weetjes maar ook mooie anekdotes! Tussendoor gestopt bij leuk restaurant en winebar voor hapjes met heerlijke wijn. En hele goede manier om verschillende highlights en wijken van Athene te zien! Absoluut een aanrader!

Letterlijk een herrlijke manier om Athene te zien

Wat een leuke manier blijft het toch om een stad te zien: op de fiets. En de ride & bite tour is erg plezierig en lekker. Gids Joost is erg onderhoudend. En de kwaliteit van de fietsen is ook nog eens erg goed.

Joost is een heel aangename begeleider. Heel persoonlijke aanpak van de toer. Heel lekker eten, veel meer dan voldoende! We mochten zelfs tijdens een etentje een Grieks feestje meepikken! Goede fietsen.

Geweldige culinaire fietstour!!!

Wat een ervaring om met Joost mee te gaan met de culinaire fietstour!! Hij kan prachtig vertellen over Athene en de rijke geschiedenis. We hebben veel gezien en hadden er perfect weer bij! We hebben gefietst van mezedes naar de hoofdgerechten en een toetje na, alles was heerlijk en bij een volgend bezoekje aan Athene gaan we dit gewoon opnieuw doen!!!

Het was een mooie tour met onze gids Joost door de leuke wijkjes van Athene. We zijn veel te weten gekomen over de geschiedenis van Athene. De restaurants waren leuk en het eten was heerlijk! Doordat wij de enige twee waren in de tour, was er ook ruimte voor gesprek over het Athene van nu. Deze tour is zeker een aanrader om de stad en z’n historie goed te leren kennen!
