Wonderful overview of the city and sights

we had an amazing tour guide, Dora. she was excellent at bringing the story to life. We especially enjoyed the Acropolis museum and the explanations of how it was built and rebuilt.

A great experience

A very informative and energetic guide with an enjoyable and balanced passion for her country. The history and storytelling of momentous historical events were detailed in easy to understand language.

AWESOME

Our tour guide was very heloful and was able to explain the history with no problem. Be prepared for lots of walking.

Not able to go

Our plane didn’t land for a couple days due to tornados in Houston. Is there any way we can get our money back I believe we paid for insurance.

Our day in Athens.

Our half day trip of Athens was excellent. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared excellent experiences with us. We enjoyed the various sites throughout the day.

Good tour!

Great to see the wonders. Amazing places. I would say that all places other then The Acropolis are just drive by. So if you wanted to walk up to unknown man. Or spend time at stadium. Etc. you’ll be disappointed. But tour guide was very knowledgeable.

AWESOME

The view from the top of the Acropolis and our spectacular guide Vickie. The trip was delayed because we had to change busses and made several stops to pickup guests.

Dora was a fantastic guide. We learned quite a lot of history during our tour. She shared the history with such passion.

Seeing something this old and ancient was amazing just trying to understand how the built this was amazing.

Do not recommend this tour through Viator

Waited around a lot, tour guide was disorganized and we did not see all the stops promised. Tour guide said it was “because the police are around”. Do not recommend this tour through Viator

Poorly organized tour, had to wait long periods of time between transitions, tour guide was disorganized and not very good. We didn’t ease some of the stops advertised on the route because “the police might stop us” as she said. Would not recommend this tour.

Acropolis and Athens Tour

This was an awesome tour! Led you up and around the acropolis and went around Athens to see other monuments! Did it all in about 3 hours! Definitely recommend!

Great experience and guide

Had a great time with excellent English speaking guide and very courteous driver. Very clean transport, air conditioned and very well organised.

Excited but disappointed

Was excited to take this excursion as never been to Athens before. Unfortunately we only got to see the Parthenon because the group was too large and the guide chose to wait for several people 15-20 minutes who were late or lost due to unclear meeting directions. I will choose a personal guide next time. We weren’t going to get back in time so we had to get off the bus and walk over a mile to get back to our hotel and flight while the tour went on.

Acropolis tour

This tour was Excellent! We started promptly, our tour guide Vicki was Wonderful. She is knowledgeable and filled every minute with a wealth of information from Mythological times to today. Acropolis is beautiful of course and seeing the city of Athens, visiting the Acropolis Museum was great. Thank you Vicki!

Good tour but be careful if you have trouble walking

Very enjoyable and it was awesome knowing you are looking at something from B.C. Time period. Pretty incredible. The tour guide was okay. You can tell she was on a time crunch and so she moved very quickly up the path toward the sites. Didn’t work well for those I was traveling with who were older and couldn’t walk fast. So we missed half of what she was saying since the communication system range is only but so far. It would have been nice to have been told there was an elevator. If you can’t walk that well, this may not be the tour for you. Otherwise, the guide was knowledgeable of the city and the sites.

Informative and fun tour

The tour was informative and robust. It was even amount of time in and out of the bus. Our tour guide was informative and was an expert in the topic of the tour.

Was never picked up

I booked this tour because I was supposed to be picked up from my hotel. No one showed up and I found out after the fact that the pickup location was changed. I do not believe I was adequately notified.

Terrible

They promised the tour on a bus and the bus never arrived. We had to walk all the way to the Acropolis and we didn’t have headphones like the other tours. It was not a good experience for me.

Do not recommend

The tour guide seems to hate the British and holds a grudge about the role of the British during the days of Empire. She was very unprofessional and should learn to keep her personal prejudices to herself and not offend British tourists.

Awesome!

Excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and helpful. We were awestruck by the history and beauty of the Parthenon. What an amazing piece of Greek history. Great bus driver who easily navigated the narrow city streets.

Awful

We were lost from our group and took a taxi back to our hotel. Tour leader lost us and didn’t care. Would not recommend the tour guide.

Tour of Acropolis and Acropolis Museum

Our tour guide, Minerva, was very knowledgeable of all Greek history. She had great stories and was a lot of fun! The tour included a lot more sights around Athens than I had realized, ie, Olympic stadium.

Breath Taking

Walking through the acropolis and seeing the remains of the temples up close and then seeing the view across Athens and the port. The Acropolis Museum added extra context to the history.

Was a good experience and informatively

The tour was good and very informative Overall it was a fairly good experience The museum experience could have been better.

Quick, easy, what we wanted

Last minute tour organized by Viator app. I sent an email at late afternoon requesting pick up from hotel which was granted less than 12hrs before tour began. Yes we could have do the walk ourselves but the guide gave further insite to the area. Due to being mixed with other tour people, we were catered for and ensured we got back to the hotel in a timely manner. Highly recommend!

Great Tour in Athens

The entire tour was very informative and well done. I enjoyed the time we spent on the Acropolis and seeing the Parthenon. I do wish we could have stepped onto Mars Hill as Paul did in Acts 17 but truly was exciting to see it.

Great tour to start the trip!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about both modern Athens and its history, and did a great job telling the story of the city. We had a great time and got to see all the man attractions up close!

Athens

Great Informative Guide. Acropolis is a crowded attraction that requires much attention to attend. Steps are many which requires attention on watching where you step and keeping an eye where you are going. No time or place for a spectacular photos due to so many people taking up space. It’s snap & go. The rest of the Tour was mainly pass & go with Commentary.

Far Too Many People on Tour

Just too many people on tour. Vicki our guide did a fantastic job despite having 49 people in the tour group. The day we toured the sites were packed. Really hard to keep up and hear the narration.

Parthenon half day perfect

Vicky was a very good guide. Knowledgeable , and very nice. The trip was worth the cost, not expensive, I would recommend it to anyone.

Super knowledgeable tour guide

Our guide Dora was so incredible knowledgeable - it was a great tour ! We liked that it included tickets for access to the sites.

So much rich history!

Great tour to get in a few sites in the morning. These are some of the must sees and it’s easier than navigating on your own. Our guide was very good and knowledgeable, wouldn’t have been able to get all the history knowledge self guided. We enjoyed our experience!

Worth the visit

Informative and well organised. Loved hearing all the history from ancient to recent from a local. Ti understand the mythology is to understand the place.

Fun & Informative

Tour guide was great and kept the tour moving. Would have loved a couple extra stops at some locations we drove by but overall it was a great experience and you will be hungry afterwards.

Great Sightseeing of Major Monuments

Good experience seeing the acropolis and major monuments in Athens. Our guide gave alot of information which was great. My only gripe is taking the group through the museum took quite a while where I typically like to go at my own pace. That part dragged on compared to seeing the monuments before.

Half day in Athens

Great tour. Hit all the famous spots in Athens. The weather was perfect. Although the tour said they picked-up from 51 hotels, our hotel was not one of them. We did not know this until after we booked our non-refundable tour. Not really a problem but we had to add time to our departure to meet the bus near Syntagma Square.

First tour of the week

Standing on top of the Acropolis looking out at Athens with the Pantheon in the back ground is something special. Our Guide was a mine of information; occasionally overloading us with facts but all very useful.

A must do tour!

The Acropolis Museum is great and the visit to the Acropolis is a dream come through. Efe was a great tour guide.
