Wonderful Day in Nafplio and Epidaurus

Had a very enjoyable time on this tour. Demi was amazing with her extensive knowledge of the sites and ruins. She was interesting and also allowed for questions. The sites were unforgettable and she made it even more interesting by explaining the the history and stories behind them.

Our guide Angelina has an amazing personality. The trip was perfectly organized, timing in each place was perfect and getting from Athens center was easy. Thanks a lot. This tour was the hoghlight of the whole stay in Greece. If it wasn’t raining last days, would have booked a trip to Delphi with Ammon.

Great tour for families

Great site seeing, beautiful swimming stop, comfortable bus, and great tour guide Theo. Recommend wearing sneakers as some of the stops had slippery floors. At the beach we went to Blublanc bar and restaurant. The food was good, and had a table and chairs to leave our stuff at while we swam. Be aware it takes about 30 minutes to get to the bus pick up spot from Athens City center. It was very convenient to get there from the Metro.

Good experience

Great guide and good itinerary. Would recommend visiting nafplion in slightly cooler months - it was a bit difficult to spend 4 hours in 42 degree heat! The van was air conditioned but felt a little cramped.

Excellent tour with great driver and guides

The day trip from Athens to Nafplio and Epidaurus was outstanding. Janis was a great, smooth driver and Theodore was knowledgeable and attentive. The van was clean, air-conditioned and had wifi - bonus. It was easy to find Theodore at the meeting point. Would definitely book with them again.

Fantastic well organised day trip

A fantastic day trip. Highly recommended. Our guide, Theo, was really knowledgeable and very kind. The trip was comfortable and all the sights we saw were great. There's a lot of walking so good shoes a must!

The highlight of my trip!

What an amazing day we had on this tour! We got to see so many parts of Greece I never would have been able to visit and we learned SO much from our host Vasil. I have never enjoyed a tour so much and laughed so much along the way. There was never a dull moment even during the parts of the drive that didn’t have anything to show. Our host even taught us some Greek while we traveled :) great experience, would definitely do any tour that Vasil hosted!

Stunning tour with an amazing guide!

We were already excited about visiting Nafplio, but we ended up having an even better time than we expected! We made a quick stop at the Corinth canal, then Epidaurus (which was really cool), but Nafplio is such a hidden gem. Getting to learn about the city, its history, and the history of modern Greece there was incredible but what really brought it all to life and made it extra special was the woman leading the tour - Dimitra (Demi). She is absolutely brilliant, has the best vibes, is so knowledgeable and thoughtful. I'm sure others are great too, but she was uniquely special and made our whole trip super enjoyable! We highly recommend taking this tour!

The Perfect Trip for the Introverted Traveler

The guide was very helpful and gave us a lot of information on the way to and from Nafplio. Once you arrived at the locations you had time to explore on your own. This was perfect for me! It off season so once we got to Epidaurus we pretty much had the place to ourselves!

Perfect tour with the perfect guide

Me and my partner were very lucky to be on this private tour, as nobody else booked it for the day. And we were even luckier to have Theo as our guide. He is historian and archaeologist, a great speaker and person, a fountain of knowledge. We stopped at Corinth Canal, Theater of Epidaurus, Fortress of Palamidi and Napflio old centre. Every single stop has its charm and it's full of history. And not to mention the amazing views! We took fab photos and created beautiful memories. The tour was a dream and we recommend it wholeheartedly. Thank you very much Theo and Ammon Express!

The program might be...

The program might be pretty standard, but the sites really came alive due to the professional commentary of the very friendly and knowledgeable guide, who for sure gets 5 stars from me. For the travelers who want to combine great views and important historical sites connected to the ancient and modern history of Greece, this is an ideal mix.

My favorite day trip

An AMAZING day trip!! Gary and Athena (our tour guides) were so friendly and knowledgeable, it made the day a blast. On the way we learned the history of the Pelopense, some mythology, local customs, and had a great time. The walking tour of Nafplio was beautiful, and the theater was breath taking!! Thank you Athena and Gary for a really wonderful day!

Wonderful day!

Panos and Athena were fantastic guides. They were attentive, informative, and lots of fun. We had a small group and it was a lovely, intimate experience. Due to COVID protocols we had to wear masks in transit and that made it a bit difficult to hear the rich information being shared. Maybe use of whispers could help going forward, but there was no lack of fun, laughs, and learning. Loved it!

Excellent tour

An excellent experience! Lucky for me no one else signed up, so I had a private tour. Bill was the best driver/guide/archaeologist. He had a lot of historical insights and general knowledge. From the start Bill was personable and conversation was easy. The stops at Corinth Canal, Palamidi Fortress and Epidarvis were well timed with many beautiful views. Lunch at the seafood restaurant (forgot the name) was a very good suggestion! Highly recommended tour and I would definitely do another excursion with this company. Amazing tour

It was a great tour. From the start, the bus left on time and the guides Magis and Antonia kept us well entertained during the road trips with stories about Greece history and other interesting facts about the country. They were very knowledgeable and made our experience so valuable as they made it personal. We had such a great time and would definitely go for other tours with this team in the future. Small group, beautiful sights

Overall my wife and I had an excellent day. Our biggest challenge was taking the train out from the city center to the meeting point near the outskirts of the city. There was only 1 other couple on this excursion and we really enjoyed our day together. Costas was very helpful with information and answering our questions, and giving us plenty of time to ourselves for exploration. We made a brief photo stop at the Corinth Canal (incredibly deep and narrow) before getting to Nafplio. The views from the Palamidi Fortress are reason enough to make this trip - like a live postcard even from the lower levels but worth climbing higher. Note the paths higher up are smooth stones, loose rocks and/or dirt and can be slippery. In the market area of Nafplio, we had a great lunch at "fer eipein Greek tavern" as recommended by Costas and had time for shopping or drinks. Then we headed to the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus. A remarkable place where you can sit, or climb and sit, anywhere you want. A guide was demonstrating the acoustics which we found fascinating even though she spoke French (and we don't). Some German students were also reading and singing as part of a class project on the acoustics - very nice! I was surprised to learn it still hosts performances, no microphones needed. We very much enjoyed everything about our visits. Thanks Costas!
