We were pressed for time, it was raining, and there were so many tourists. What were thought was going to be a bust of a tour due to time and mother nature, turned out to be the best planned. It was all thanks to our tour guide Odysseas Z.! He was super sweet and super amazing! Very knowledgeable about Athens history and new the exact spots and highlights to take us to! Absolutely lovely! I'm sure if we had more time and no rain, it would've been perfect!

Odysseus was a tremendous driver guide! He took our reservation last-minute, on a holiday, and showed us an incredible day in Athens. His kindness and company was exceptional.

Maximum fun, minimum effort.

I injured my foot at the beginning of my trip in Mykonos and was upset that I wouldn’t be able to see the ancient and historical sights in Athens. I luckily found this tour and booked it right away and have no regrets . Our driver and tour guide Theodore was very helpful and tailored the tour to what we wanted to do and actually suggested some things we never thought of doing. Not only did we get to see the historical sights we wanted to see but he also suggested some things like the changing of the guards and took us to the location with the best view of the city and acropolis. Would definitely recommend the half day tour if you want to maximize the amount of things to do in a short amount of time and if you can request Theodore.

I scheduled three different tours with this company and each one was better than the last. Every tour was amazing and the guides were knowledgeable and polite. I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family!

What a great tour!!! Definitely book!!! Our tour guide Odysseas was wonderful and tailored our experience to include the things we most wanted to see. We have a twelve year old son who really enjoyed talking basketball with Odysseas and still talks about the tour today. Thank you for such a great experience!

Good to have a car to move you around.

Our tour was good... the driver was excellent, but his knowledge of the city and history etc wasn't that great. I know we could have booked a guide, but from other reviews, I did feel we would get some of the history of the places we visited from our driver, so was a bit disappointed. The car was clean and Costas was an excellent driver, so ticks for that. It was very hot, so incredibly convenient to have the car.

Excellent way to hit all the major sites in comfort

We booked Athens Private Tour. Odysseas was our driver/guide. He was fantastic! He picked us up at our hotel/drove us to all the sites/explained each locations history before we got there. Going private is the way to go! It was extremely hot out and it was convenient to have someone drop us off and pick us up… I strongly recommend Odysseas and the Athens Private Tour. Odysseas was so sweet he even gave us a bottle of Homemade Wine!!! 😇

Spiros is an amazing private tour guide and driver- ultra highly recommended!

We had a fantastic 8 hour private tour with Spiros, he is super friendly, and an excellent tour guide and driver. We went to all the major sights in Athens, which we couldn’t do ourselves. Super highly recommended, he is thoroughly amazing, and deserves a 5000% pay rise! Please make sure to ask for Spiros when booking a private tour- you won’t go wrong, and will have a thoroughly fantastic day 😀😀😀

Excellent tour, very attentive, on time, knowledgeable, accommodating, and accurate. Everyone had so much fun and got to do everything we wanted plus an amazing authentic Greek meal which was an incredible experience.

GREAT experience, Informational, Convenient. We loved our tour with Odysseas

We booked this tour bc we were coming off a Viking cruise on a Saturday morning and only had one day in Athens to see sights before flying out the next morning. Booked Odysseas but had emailed him to ask questions and he responded immediately to all my inquiries. We booked a private tour for just the 3 of us (two of us in our 40’s and one 75 year old). He picked us up on time from the cruise terminal (in fact he waited for us bc we ended up delayed from getting off the ship), had a sign with name on it so he was easily identifiable. The van was parked very close by. He had a very nice comfortable clean black van that easily fit all our luggage with 3 rows of seating, had bottled water for us, air conditioning was super comfortable. He took us to places I had never seen before (I’ve been to Athens once before but my fellow trackers hadn’t). Great views and photo opportunities. He gave us both ancient history and mythology info as well as present day Greek modern life info. He clearly loves sharing about Greek mythology and origin stories and we loved all the stories!! His English is very good. The tour was well organized, well timed. We never felt rushed but yet covered so much of the city and sights. The last major stop in the tour was the Acropolis. He walked us to the Acropolis museum (like a 3 minute walk from where he parked) where we entered ourselves and then two of us hiked up to the Acropolis. Entry fee for both museum and Acropolis were NOT included in tour fee just fyi (20 euros for Acropolis and 10 euros for museum). The museum is very nice with a bright great restaurant on the 3rd floor that has great views of the Acropolis. Odysseas was very trustworthy. In fact we asked if he could drive us to the airport on Sunday morning but alas he had another tour at the same time. I would TOTALLY use Odysseas again if I return to Athens!!! And thought this tour was perfect for seeing all the highlights of Athens in 6 hours. Oh and he dropped us off directly at our hotel which was very convenient! In total our tour went from about 8:30am to 2:30pm

Amazing tour guide

Excellent guide and tour of Athens highlights.

Our guide/driver, Odysseas, arrived early at the cruise port with a sparkling clean van, large enough to accommodate all of our luggage from our cruise. He was very knowledgeable in Greek & Roman mythology and history. He gave us valuable insights into all of the monuments on the tour, along with visual aids to show details, highlights and construction techniques. He adapted his tour to include other sights and gave us a continual narrative of things we were seeing and questions we had along our route. My wife was interested in the ancient history and I was interested in Greece’s post 1821 revolution to it’s present history. Odysseas was very knowledgeable in both areas answering our questions and tying together pieces of interconnected history. Our tour ended with being dropped at our hotel. We had a great time on our tour and we’d very highly recommend it to anyone!

Awesome trip and great tour guide!

Mr Spiros showed us Athens and the important locations in our limited time in the city. He was a good driver and very knowledgeable tour guide. He was very polite and accommodating I highly recommend him if you’re in a Athens. Very happy that we have a friend in Athens now!

Really good tour

Really recommend this tour. We went as a group of 4 with our own van and the guide was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited. He was also flexible as to where we stopped if we saw something we liked or wanted to spend more time. He would give us a good history into the places and also had books in the. An with him to help supplement. Before we went up the Acropolis he even was kind to share for us all some Greek doughnuts. Really nice guy and recommended!

Sehr preiswerte und informative Citytour in einem privaten Van

Odysseas von Greece Athens Tour holte uns pünktlich mit seinem eigenen Minivan von unserem Hotel ab und zeigte uns in einer Tagestour die Highlights von Athen. Er ging dabei auf unsere Wünsche ein, organisierte perfekt in einem Athener Krankenhaus einen PCR-Test für unseren Rückflug und ein Mittagessen in einer typischen griechischen Taverne mit einer großen Fischauswahl. Das einzige Manko war dass er keine offizielle Lizenz hatte uns auf die Akropolis zu begleiten. Er versorgte uns dafür mit einer selbsterklärenden Lektüre. Er gab uns darüber hinaus noch Typs was wir außerhalb von Athen unternehmen können. Aufgrund der guten Erfahrung haben wir bei ihm noch eine Tages-Segel-Tour gebucht die im Piräus Hafen begonnen hat und sehr empfehlenswert ist
