4-Days Nile Cruise From Aswan To Luxor including Abu Simbel and Hot Air Balloon

Good but not 5 star

Overall we had a good experience but not amazing: Nile cruise: - Itinerary: every day late - > not sticking to schedule as added stops like perfume factory or jewellery store which are touristy stops we didn’t want to go to. This also meant we were always late for dinner and only had what was left over - Food: ok - if your tour starts early you will get a breakfast box - not that great - Accomodation: didn’t ask for any bed arrangement- we had 2x single beds as a couple - Not western standard 5 star cruise, we would rate it as 2-3 star as furniture and decor outdated and with cracks. Guide: (Mohammed) - He spoke too fast and we weren’t always able to understand his English (we are native speakers) - Guide seemed annoyed most of the time and attended to his phone a lot making calls and messaging even during temple visits - Explanations were mostly outside of the temple and we had free time to take photos inside the temple. - The guide’s knowledge of Egyptology was good. - the guide added shopping stops like perfume factory, spice and jewellery shop -> we would have preferred if this was all on the last day so people who want to go can and people who don’t don’t need to come. The problem was we all had to go and this prolonged the day a lot Other travellers on the trip: - we had an amazing group with a mix of nationalities and got along really really well and had a lot of fun! :)

Cruise

We had an incredible experience on this cruise! Our guide was exceptional, very knowledgeable, and provided clear and detailed explanations at every stop. A small downside: the free time was sometimes a bit limited, but it didn't affect our overall enjoyment. 10/10 🙏🏽

Recommended-Tour guide is nice and fun

Our tour guide was Mahmoud Amin, a very helpful guy who seems to really care for his job. He provides the history and the information of the sites with detail and helped us avoid any frauds or extra charges on things we bought from locals. On the boat some foods are not that tasty but considering it is a different culture, taste can be different. Everyone on the boat is very nice. This cruise is recommended.

Tour Guide feedback!

Talaat abdo was our tour guide who was super helpful and helped us when to check in a little early as well since we reached the airport midnight. Moreover during the entire tour he explained the entire history well and was super insightful

Comfortable way to see all sites

Overall it was a great experience- the sites are incredible to see- but the tour organisation is pretty bad. The boat staff were lovely and friendly and the rooms were comfortable. The buffet was lovely with lots of variety but drinks aren't included (incl water), and there's no wifi on board. The pool area was lovely with lots of shade. As the tours are organized seperate to the boat with different guides for each trip, it was difficult to get information (time and places) ahead of time. It would be nice if there was a central person to contact to get information.

We enjoyed our trip with our tour guide Talaat Abdo. Highly recomendedd. Cant wait to go back! We went to Aswan and Luxor.

Honestly our guide talaat abdot was amazing and made our experience with the temple a gift. His knowledge, dedication and passion made a big difference. Also, the food in the boat was surprisingly really great. The staff too and just the experience in general with the temple is a most. I recommande it to everyone!

Talaat Abdo was our guide during this 4 day tour! What a guy 10/10 for fun and knowledge. He tried to pull everybody of the group (max 15 persons what was great) in his explanations. If we had a problem...like no internet he bought us a card and helped us to fixe it. He was very honest about prices and money. I recommend him!!!!

Nice experience

Talaat Abdo was our guide! We had a good experience those 4 days. Clear information about all of the temples. He was kind and funny. We had no 4G on our phone. He was so kind to help us to buy a sim cart. The boot-room was clean, nice staff and good food. I can't say anything bad!

Incredible experience on the river Nile!

Amazing experience! I really loved every place we visited, and navigating the Nile from Aswan to Luxor is an unforgetable experience! Talaat Abdo was an amazing guide! We loved all the visits especially recommendable if you are thinking of going to Abu Simbel. Getting to the places was easy and everything was included!

Mahmoud was an outstanding tour guide! He exceeded our expectations. Not only did we get tremendous value booking this cruise, it was very organized. Mahmoud was very patient with everyone and made sure we all understood the itinerary. Mahmoud's passion for Egyptian history is evident. Although it is a combination of fast-paced tours, there is enough time to get a thorough understanding of the places visited along with some personal time to explore the sites on your own. Efficient and complete way to make the Aswan/Luxor route in a friendly atmosphere. However, it is busy trip so be ready for it.

A fun and informative trip

The trip was wonderful! We had an outstanding time aboard the ship and our tour guide Talaat was incredible! The best part was how easy everthing was made. The guide bought our tickets in advance and made it all easy. He was incredibly knowledgable and funny. The food onboard was good and plenty. Only downside was that everything including water was charged, but c’est la vie.

Good experience

The Cruise was an amazing experience ! Our guide Mahmoud was verry nice and gave us many explanations about Egypt history. We enjoyed the pool, the activities. However, the hot baloon activiy was canceled because of the wind (we are very disapointed because we looked forward to do this acticity). Finally, the food could be better.

Great experience

Thanks to this trip in the cruise we were able to see so many landmarks of Egypt in only 4 days! Throughout our journey we were constantly accompanied by our great guide Talaat Abdo, who lead us to all the sites giving us an accurate explanation of the history of each place. He stayed with us at all times always making sure that our trip was running smoothly and that we were able to do all the activities in the due time. Another highlight of this cruise is definetely the food. Excellent! Overall a great experience.

Amazing tour with our guide Mohamed Gobran

Had an amazing tour with Mohamed Gobran. Everything was catered for with lots of information and great accommodation on the Nile Jewel! Mohamed was great supplying all the information needed with history of every place we visited. He was happy to chat and easy to talk to. The staff on the boat were also very attentive! The food was great with a variety of meals and the sleeping berths were very comfortable.

Great experience

This cruise is an excellent experience in a mesmerizing location but with room for improvement. It starts in Aswan usually on Monday’s but without a formal start time due to guests arriving at different times so don’t book an early flight to Aswan like I did but instead opt perhaps for the early morning or noon. The staff pick you up at the airport after confirming your arrival via email and were on time and in a vehicle with air conditioning. Upon arrival at the cruise the tour guide Mohamed explains the process of checking in as well as the other costs of the cruise which aren’t included in the booking fee such as the tickets for the attractions (85 US dollars for adults 45 dollars for students) and this is a very convenient offer as it is priced at the regular rate but allows you to skip the lines at most of the ticket offices. The other costs include tips for the crew for 4 days amounting to 19 dollars as well as a tip for the tour guide (Mohamed) which is at your discretion. In the grand scheme of things with the number of crew over 4 days it is a very reasonable tip considering the tipping culture in Egypt. Another added cost is 25 dollars for an optional Nubian village experience in which you take a ferry boat to swim in the Nile (freezing cold by the way but very enjoyable) and visit a Nubian village to learn about their culture. Mohamed is very good at communication the schedule with everybody and organizing transport to arrive on time and to the sights with adequate information given at the sights. A small drawback is that some sights feel a little rushed due to the time constraints of having to visit a few sites in the day and also be on the cruise for travel and meals. The boat we were on is called the MS Nile Jewel and while not the fanciest boat it is quite well equipped with a nice sun deck and pool. The staff are all very courteous all the time and the meals are well prepared especially the baklava on the 2nd evening. As I was fasting during my cruise the crew went out of their way to make sure I had food with which to break my fast and sunset and start my fast at sunrise and this was very accommodating. Everything on the cruise went off without a hitch, all the buses arrived on time and had air conditioning, every item on the schedule was ticked off and there was minimal waiting times between activities. This is a great cruise in a truly, truly mesmerizing location.

Informative and convenient!

This trip is a fantastic experience! Our tour guide, Mohamed Gobran, made it easy and comfortable guiding us through each day and every site with transparency. Before each day, he would share an itinerary/schedule, which was also posted in the lobby, and share some context as to why we were visiting certain temples at various times in the day. On the first day, the weather created complications with sailing to Philae Temple, but Mohamed kept everyone looped in about updates and even fit it into the next day. Although the day is packed with activities, Mohamed made it really easy as he took care of all the transportation and entry tickets. All the meals were great (especially the night with the baba ghanoug and tahini - my personal fav). Although the drinks were not always included, the prices were very affordable. I highly recommend getting a cup of coffee from the coffee bar. Overall, a great experience if you’re open to a tightly packed schedule.

The Nile Jewel

We had a great cruise on the Nile on a cosy boat (for families) named M/S Nile Jewel. In 4 days we managed a lot of sightseeing from Abu Simbel to Valley of the Kings. Although we covered many sites, the tour seemed decently paced, with lots of interesting information received from our guide, Mohamed Gobran. All in all, it was a trip that we are waiting for some time that lived up to our expectations!

Very knowledgeable Guide

Very knowledgeable and helpful guide. Mohamed was very knowledgable about the sites we visited. Parts of the trip needed us walking too early which was a bit of an issue but as such it was worth. It would be nice if the cruise is had at least the free water for the guests.

It was a beautiful cruise. The crew on deck were very attentive and friendly. They took time to always make sure you were ok. The food prepared on the cruise was amazing, especially the food prepared on Egyptian night. Highly recommend this cruise when visiting Aswan&Luxor
