This cruise is excellent for anyone wanting to see famous Egyptian landmarks. Mustafa was our tour guide on this trip and he explained each stop very thoroughly. He made things very convenient, and he made sure that everyone had a good experience. I would highly recommend it.

The cruise experience went beyond my expectations and it was very well organized. The hot air balloon was the icing on the cake. Big kudos for the guide Mohammed who is very knowledgeable, kind and willing to help at all times. Great fun!

Excellent Value for Money and great guide!

Mustafa Ragab was excellent and put a lot of effort into making sure our experience on the Nile cruise went well. Despite challenges with the bus drivers and intense heat, he made it great. To manage expectations: it is a great value for what you're paying. The boat amenities are quite basic but the staff are amazing and friendly.

Our guide Mustafa Ragad was really great, he accompanied us on all the visits with great professionalism and passion for the Egyptian history ! For a first cruise it went really well and all the steps were followed until the end! I highly recommend ! Just amazing !

Aswan/luxor cruise

Mustafá ragab was a great guide over the 4 day trip. He was very hospitable and took us to the best historical sites where he explained everything clearly. He took care of all the logistics and everything was smooth. The cruise staff was very friendly and food was of good quality.

Very informative journey and vacation

The trip to visit all the place in Aswan and Abu Simbel was very incredible, especially lead by very knowledgeable tour guide Mr Khaled Galal. He know about history and able to tell all about the scripture.

Pleasant Nile trip

Mohamed Gobran is a very attentive guide. He is passionate about the history of Egypt and provides good explanation of the sites we visited. He made sure everything was OK and we had a good time in the cruise. The cruise has good food, is well organized and covers the main touristic sites, and we had good time to take some pictures after the guided tour.

Nice chill cruise on the Nile

The cruise is nice and everything, however for us the biggest highlight were the tours and the hot air balloon 🎈 both of which were made amazing due to the hard work of Ahmed Shawky Ali, our guide. He was very knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to help us with our needs during the trip. Thanks again Ahmed and go Ramses 👏

Nice overall experience

Mr. Mahmoud was a great guide. Very kind, knowledgeable, and funny. Willing to help in all aspects and does not force any souvenir sales. Also got a signed 1EGP for fun 😂 Cruise was overall a good experience. We stayed on Hapi V cruise. The rooms are acceptably clean. Air conditioning was a bit weak in the room. The food was okay. Not too bad, not exceptional, but it could be better. Should be less salty, less sweet, and could use more Egyptian cuisine options. Staff were very kind and was willing to help.

Great experience for the value and skips the hassle of booking your own accomodations or transport. The guide was very knowledgeable, organized and super helpful. The tour followed the planned itinerary and met all my expectations. I would recommend.

Good experience

An amazing tour, you are able to see all nile area ancient egypt temples, abu simbel, aswan, edfu and luxor. Our guide (Muhammed) conducted really well organized and timing tour. Cruise personnel were so helpful, Only that I need give information about cruiser, There is no elevator in the ship and Most of the ancient sites doesn’t have accessible options for baby strollet etc.

The boat is comfortable, not too many people. The staff is professional. Good food. Just a shame that we have to pay extra for water during meals :-(

Amazing cruise

Be prepared to wake up early every morning if you dont wish to skip any temple. 3 hours ride to Abu simbeI was worth it. Bus was very good. Food and staff are very good on the boat. Guide is nice. Higly recommended. The value for money is great. Sorry to see that boats are sailing half full

Talaat Abdo is a great tour guide who will provide you with a lot of interesting stories of the rich Egyptian culture and history. He showed us a lot of beautiful places which made this trip very memorable.

Great trip with an enthusiastic guide

We really enjoyed our trip! Most people have written that they had to wake up so early everyday, which is true but its also imposible waking up at 10 and being able to see everything! The trips in general was good planned, but our guide Talaat Abdu played also really big role in it. He was organised, enthusiastic and made sure of that we had both informational and recreational time enough. In some part he even explained things in theatrical way. On the other hand, he has been sure about our well-being, gave us enough time to catch up, get rest. Great energy! The food was also really nice and we had an open buffay, everyday different food! And the rooms were also cleaned regularly :)

We had an amazing time on our four day three night cruise from Aswan to Luxor. The trip covered so many highlights and all was very well run. The boat had great rooms and facilities as well.

Everything was just perfect. Great guide (Mohamed) and wonderful sightseeing tours. We loved the atmosphere at Kom Ombo at sunset-time. Nice bar with ok-prices on the cruise boat.

Great journey across the Nile Valley

The tour is a great option to explore the Nile Valley and its adjoining areas. The trip starts in Aswan on the first day, with Abu Simbel on the second morning and then sets sail towards Kom Ombo and Edfu. On the third day, after the Temple of Horus, the ship sets sail to Luxor, followed by hot air ballon, Valley of the Kings and Karnak temple Pros: 1. The guide: Our guide, Mohammad Gobran is a very helpful and is a knowledgeable Egyptologist. He takes care of the guests very well. He even goes out of your way to help with supplies like water and sim cards 2. The ship: We were on the Nile Jewel, which is a very comfortable ship with all amenities. The food is very good and there are several large decks to enjoy the view when the ship is sailing. 3. The sights: The itinerary covers almost all of the Nile Valley, including Abu Simbel, which some other itineraries keep as optional. There are also optional visits to the Nubian village and Tutankhamen’s tomb. Mohammad will arrange those for you at an additional price. The cons: 1. The booking on Viator only lets you select number of people and not rooms. We had a 3 person booking and they were accommodated in one room. 2. You have to pay for water and all drinks on board. It is advisable to buy water before you board. There are supermarkets near the boarding point where you can buy water.

Overall is good

Wonderful experience in Egypt. The tour guide is good in details, he is professional with nice recommendations and notices. Mohamed Gibran introduced clear historical background and story of each visiting point. Yet, the free time of each site is limited, it will be great for longer visiting time. Overall is good.

Great value

This cruise is incredible value for money. Having done a Viking cruise in Europe I was a little unsure because it was so inexpensive. To compare the two would be unfair but I was pleasantly surprised with this cruise. The boat is older but well maintained, the staff are very friendly and accommodating and although the food wasn’t spectacular it was decent and plentiful. They pack a lot into a short time and it is very tiring. I could have done with a couple less temples but that’s just my opinion. Mohamed is very passionate,dedicated and hard working. He keeps things on schedule as best as he can but sometimes herding cats can be difficult 😂. I would recommend this tour and Mohamed without hesitation.

Good: 1. Our guide Mohammed is very professional, he tells us a lot about the history of ancient Egypt. 2. Foods in cruise are really nice, the service of the chefs and waiters in the restaurant are excellent. Some chefs can explain the food in different languages (English, French, Chinese, Korean). 3. The reception is very helpful! He is a kind guy. Need to be improve: 1. We woke up very early in the very morning (3.30/5.00/5.00), but there is no full detailed information on the website, this means we don't know we have to get up early every day before we book. In day 3, we came to the temple with everything dark, when we finished, the sunshine came out. 2. There are no tissues in dining room. 3. There is no POS in the cruise.

Amazing Nile Cruise Experience

The cruise package was completely amazing and engaging. Our tour guide, Mohamed Gobran has vast knowledge of Egyptian history and we learned a lot about the same on our trip. The food onboard was good with different varieties each day. Overall great experience mainly Abu Simbel and hot air balloon ride which is a must for every enthusiastic traveler.

Great Nile Cruise experience

It was our first time in Egypt. The cruise takes all the logistics challenges away so we can just focus on enjoying the trip and the amazing history of this country. Our tour guide, Mohamed Gobran, has very good knowledge about the history and background for each of the temples visited. Thorough in explanation and we have learnt so much history of Egypt that we never know. The food on board was great. Almost different varieties each day. The selection of roast beef, grilled chicken, veggies and fish fillets that could easily fit into anyone's dietary requirements. Great experience and highly recommended for people who want to see the Nile. Abu Simbel is definitely a MUST!

A wonderful trip

The cruise was lovely. Very nice rooms, excellent rooftop deck with loungers/pool. Food was good, with a mix of Egyptian and international cuisine. We had Mohamed Gobran as our guide who was fantastic - extremely knowledgeable about all the temples and sites we visited, very personable and made all the excursions fun! They do pack in a lot, so be prepared for very early starts in the mornings! Would definitely recommend the cruise and its excellent value for money.

Nile cruise - intense experience

It's a great experience and definitely to be done one time in your life. You visit many places in a short amount of time, it can be a tiring expirience but very satisfying as well. Our guide Mohamed Gobran arranged everything very well and gave us interesting information each time we arrived a site. He also took care of all the transport and formalities to give us a smooth travel.

Great Family Trip!

Booking this trip was a great, stress free way of seeing so many key sites from Egypts history. Mohammed shared an extensive knowledge of the many cultures that have made an impact and he was always willing to answer our questions. Our 7 and 10 year olds had a lot of fun and lo ed seeing everything they've read in books first-hand.

An average experience

The places we visited were awesome but the boat we were on Al Nabilatan, left us much to be desired, had a v poor selection of beverages, food was ok. We were expecting a much higher standard from Trip Advisor and it seems that Trip Advisor has insufficient experience in that part of the world.

Memorable and enjoyable trip to southern Egypt

Our guide Mohamed Gobran is professional, considerate, knowledgeable and honest. He made our trip very enjoyable and memorable. Two amazing days in Luxor!

Two days into a four day cruise and we have had a wonderful trip through Mody Tours. Our guide both days was Mustafa Ragab. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and you can tell that he has been a guide for many years (I asked him - since 2002!) Both days we were picked up exactly on time by Mustafa and a driver in a very clean vehicle and shown all the amazing sights in Luxor that included an amazing hot air balloon ride. Thank you Mustafa! We especially enjoyed your extensive knowledge of hieroglyphics! The stories hidden in these monuments rivaled the sights themselves!

11-day tour of Egypt

This is a review of a 11-day tour of Egypt organized by Egypt Tours Portal. The first part was a 5-day-4-night stay in Cairo, including a Nile Dinner Cruisr, trips to the pyramids in Giza, Saqqara, to the National Museum, the fossils at Wadi Hitan, Memphis, and the Hanging Mosque. The second part included a 4-day-3-night Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor along with a hot-air balloon ride to view the sunrise, the Valley of the Kings, and the temple of Hatshepsut. We also had trips to Abu Simbel, Luxor Temple, and Kom Ombo Temple. After the cruise, we spent three days and two nights in Luxor, visiting the Valley of the Kings, Dandhera, the Karnak Temple, and the Luxor Museum Our tour guides were excellent. In Cairo, we had Essam Elsayed, and in Aswan/Nile Cruise/Luxor we had Mahmoud Nour. Both were knowledgeable in Egyptology and Egyptian history and culture. local to their respective regions. We also got some insights into Egypt today. We had a wonderful time in Egypt, and would recommend the tour guides (Mahmoud and Essam) and Egypt Tours Portal with great enthusiasm and without any reservations. A couple of pieces of advice - tipping (baksheesh) is expected in Egypt. None of the people we met (the guides, waiters in restaurants and the cruise) were paid well. They depend on tips to subsist; also, bring lots of cash (USD or EUR) with you. Make sure the notes are now or lightly used; the banks will not accept torn or defaced bills.

Egypt trip par 2 - Aswan, Nike Cruise, and Luxor

This review deals with the second half of a 11-day tour of Egypt organized by Egypt Tours Portal. This part of the trip included a 4-day-3-night Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor along with a spectacular early morning hot-air balloon tide, a trip to Abu Simbel, Luxor Temple. After the cruise, we spent three days and two nights in Luxor, visiting the Valley of the Kings, Dandhera, and the Karnak Temple. Our tour guide, Mahmoud Nour, was excellent. He is from Luxor, and his enthusiasm about Egypt in general and Upper Egypt in particular, came through loud and clear. We spent the time with him taking a deep dive into ancient Egyptian history and culture. We had a wonderful time both here and in Cairo, and would recommend the tour guides (Mahmoud and Essam) and Egypt Tours Portal with great enthusiasm and without any reservations.

Good Tour. There are some pros and cons to it

It was a good tour and very organized. Mohamed Gobran was our guide. He had great knowledge about all the locations we visited and answered all our questions patiently. Mohamed was in constant communication with the whole group and checked on us throughout the whole tour via WhatsApp. The bus transportation experience throughout the whole tour exceeded our expectations. The buses were clean, spacious and on time. Food on the boat was limited and not the best. The quality could be better for sure. The boat condition was good and majority of the crew was very helpful. All Drinks and water are not included on the cruise which we knew in advance. Local beer is around $5.00 and bottle of water is around $3.00 A lot of vendors will ask you to pay in U.S Dollars or Euros but we chose to pay in Egyptian Pounds (local currency). Tipping is definitely expected by every single person including the vendors that are affiliated with the tour agency. Everything was prepaid but we were still expected to leave a good tip for all vendors so ensure you have plenty of cash on you. We were asked by the tour agency to leave about $19.00 per person as a tip for the cruise crew upon check in (Which was very odd check in experience) as people normally leave tip at the end of the service and it should be optional not mandatory. In the middle of the tour, we were asked to leave a review on trip advisor and It is mandatory which we did not enjoy as we wanted to enjoy our time and spending it on writing a review before the end of the itinerary wasn’t good. Most of the 5 star reviews are by customers that were asked (harassed) throughout their tour to leave a review on trip advisor. The whole trip is very exhausting as you wake up everyday around 5-6AM to start your tours so It is not for everyone. We knew that ahead of time so we were prepared.
