Fabulous

A great experience. We took this cruise as part of celebrating my son’s 6th birthday. The crew and captain were so wonderful, they communicated when we would be reaching a protected area so we could light the candles on a cake and sing my son Happy Birthday while cruising the sunset. The captain gave him a drive of the boat and everyone wished him a happy birthday before we departed. The area is lovely to cruise around and the sunset stunning backdrop. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Picked this tour as it was priced well and also has good reviews. Nice boat and crew, smooth on the water and great views. Drink priced well and tasty as well. Snacks basic, but didn't come for snacks. Would do again next time I'm here

Great time!

The girls from the hens night made it alot of fun . Staff were excellent and very informative and friendly. My only disappointment was the food only one platter with dip and carrot, celery and kabana for about 40 people. that was it . It was topped up but left on the bar.

Great holiday

Loved Airlie Beach, so much to see & do. Such a beautiful spot. Food was amazing. From Waterfalls to islands. Great shopping - could get lost in all the boutiques. Worth the visit. Will be back.

Great sunset cruise

Fantastic way to spend a couple of hours. Great crew and Rob was great fun with music selection and jokes. Family of 5 and we all loved it. Highly recommend.

Don't waste your money

We took this cruise on new years eve which was very expensive. We were promised firework and the best seat in the house and due to the weather we came back Quarter to 12 and missed the whole fireworks display. The weather was not that bad it was light rain which was forecasted. I would have rathered they cancel the cruise than to bring us back earlier at our expense. Spoke to company and they do not care at all and won't return calls. They are just after money. DONT RECOMMEND

Fun way to experience sunset over the water!

Fun party boat to see the sunset! Rob was super fun, drinks & food very yummy, reasonably priced. Great music! Even the disco!!

Memorable for BRISBANE FAMILY

From the moment we had arrived we felt welcome. The guy on the boat walking around interacting with everyone was fantastic. I would recommend this sunset cruise to anyone who wants to remember your time in Airlie Beach. The photos taken were amazing thank you so much.

Best Sunset Cruise Ever

Had the best time celebrating my 60th Birthday with family and friends on the Sunset Cruise. It was a wonderful way to enjoy the magnificent Whisper Bay around Airlie Beach and Cannonvale. The booking process was easy, efficient with prompt replies. Christina and staff on the day went above and beyond.Everyone was impressed with the service. Many thanks for making my birthday one to remember.

Relaxing afternoon on the water with friends

The cruise was nice and sunset was good too. The boat wasn’t crowded it was good. But next we will take a jacket as breeze was cool.

It was great and I can just recommend it to everybody!

It was a great experience and Rob was so great and funny! I can only recommend to do this tour. It's good for Solo, Friends, Couple or even as a family. They even stopped at a spot where we could see some seaturtles.

Great activity for a chill day

Rob was a fantastic host! Definitely a beautiful way to see the harbour and Airlie beach from the water. Complimentary drink and great tunes! Very chill atmosphere and great value for money

Beautiful but disappointed

The sunset cruise itself was beautiful however it was ruined my a group of intoxicated people who were vaping, smoking, swearing and littering into the ocean.. The crew kept serving them alcohol and were too polite to ask them to stop vaping. Ruined the beauty of the trip.

Fun and friendly tour

Lovely time aboard the cruise, the operators were fun and friendly, the alcohol was average but would recommend for a easy enjoyable trip

Poor experience not recommended

Overcrowded and the gourmet snacks are a jatz and one dip. It’s an average experience. Save your money and go to port Douglas

Cruising the Whitsundays

The boat was comfortable and the staff friendly. Departure was delayed with no explanation despite being asked to arrive at the meeting point early. Nibbles were meagre at best. However the scenery was lovely and the atmosphere fun.

Great tour at a even greater price!

Fantastic! Kids enjoyed it as well as the adults!! Great bar onboard. Staff were lovely and really entertaining. Was great way to finish our holiday.

Must do experience Airlie beach

Fabulous staff, beautiful views and good value drinks and free nibbles. We travelled at a relaxing pace and the music was excellent. Highly recommend for a great evening!

What a fantastic cruise.

We loved this cruise, even my 15 year old daughter enjoyed herself.The people running the whole cruise where fantastic, very helpful, lots of fun, with lots of information and made everyone welcome. We highly recommend this cruise to anyone and everyone, all ages and abilities. Thank you for a great time.

Drinks and sunset what else could you ask for!!

The sunset was amazing! Jeremy and Rob were a lot of fun and have us fun facts about the Whitsundays! Amazing FREE photo pf us in front of the sunset while spotting turtles. Bar on board and the free welcoming drinks was worth it.

Sunset vibes!

I was a lone ranger, it was really lovely vibe, welcoming, comedic banter and a fantastic sunset. Highly recommend for something to do in airlie!

Holiday hasn’t started if you haven’t done this

My Wife and I had an amazing sunset Cruise and dinner at Sorrentos, the staff were amazing, they displayed great professionalism and Hospitality, a light hearted sense of humour leading to a relaxed atmosphere. The views were spectacular and the ride was exceptionally smooth. The short of it is that your holiday has not started until you have had a sunset cruise and dinner

Sunset at Airlie Beach

After a half hour Tuk Tuk tour round town, my wife and I decided to take the Sundowner Sunset cruise. Departing from the Coral Sea Marina, our cruise left the dock about 4:30pm and headed out into Pioneer Bay. A glass of champagne or soft drink was on offer, and some nibbles. The picturesque cruise around the Bay Area was very pretty, and as the sun began to set, Robert our host onboard the cruise organised each group to have photos taken on the bow of the boat, with the setting sun as the backdrop. After the sun had set we continued our cruise around the Bay Area before heading back to the marina. It was a very enjoyable experience, and the photos Robert had taken were available on their Facebook page next morning, to download free of charge. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful way to spend our first night in airlee beach, crew was amazing and the 2 hours goes very quick!! Highly recommended

Great atmosphere, staff were friendly, and the view was beautiful. We even had the opportunity to see some sea turtles, great way to finish our trip to the Whitsundays.

Great tour, great guide

Charming and relaxing cruise around Airlie Beach. Rob has definitely made the tour much more enjoyable whilst taking great photos for us!

Poor customer service

We booked the sunset tour the night before. The morning of, we returned 2 positive covid tests. We called as soon as we knew that we couldn't attend. No one contacted us back. I emailed, called, and used the online chat function - no response. I also called the provider - they said it wasn't anything they could do - we needed to take it up with Viator. Not very impressed by viator's customers service.

Not for everyone

My partner and I booked for a Sunset cruise, departing Airlie Beach at 4.30pm for a 2 hour cruise. But we believe that unless you are in a drinking group, or looking for a romantic getaway for 2 hours then this is not for you. It was quite nice to see Airlie Beach from the vessel, but there is a lot of time spent relatively stationary or travelling very slowly. There were nibbles but these were consumed relatively quickly especially when left for DIY serving on the bar. Overall: the cruise was OK but not for everyone.

Good service beautiful sunset

We looked at all the cruises and a couple of them we had already taken last time we were here so we chose the sunset cruise. It was a lot of fun, when we first climbed on board we were given a sparkling wine and later on nibbles were handed around, you could also buy extra drinks at the bar. We cruised around looking at Airlie Beach from the water and when sunset happened photos were taken of all of us to be put on their FB page the next morning. The cruise was about 2 hours long and it was dark by the time we returned home.

Lovely smooth and entertaining cruise

Note that at the time we traveled the Meeting Point was C up near the Coast Guard office and a quick walk from the main car park at the marina. This wasn't noted on the confirmation - it just said "meeting point" It was a great night for cruising, light winds and smooth seas. The cruise was fully booked which was good to see as apparently it's been a bit lean lately. The sunset over the mountains was spectacular and there was a full moon too. It might be wise to eat if before you go on as its a few snacks only but alcohol and soft drinks can be purchased.

Great evening!

Such a great experience! We did the cruise and dine for our 10th wedding anniversary last night and it was fantastic. The sunset cruise was so fun and relaxed. The staff were amazing and even offered lovely photos for free with the sunset in the background. Dinner at Sorrentos was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Lovely views, but poorly organised dinner

Let’s start with the positives - gorgeous views on the sunset cruise, relaxing atmosphere and a great mix of people. Crew are professional, cheerful and did a good safety briefing first. Welcome drink and nibbles are a nice touch. Slightly mixed feelings off the back of a lovely evening cruise though. As it was our first visit to Airlie Beach and we didn’t want the hassle of hunting down somewhere to go for dinner after the cruise (as it was long weekend and very busy), my partner and I booked the sunset cruise with dinner option through our hotel about a day and a half prior - only to be told the day of the cruise (a few hours prior to departure) that we had no dinner reservation as the restaurant (sorrentos) were overbooked! The company offered to send us to a nearby cafe instead - but a cafe selling bar food (burgers and chips) doesn’t really stand up against a 2 course meal and cocktail at a beautiful restaurant - so we were pretty disappointed to be left with no other option and unable to get in to a number of other restaurants we tried at such late notice. We booked a good day and a half before the cruise so appreciate things can book out, however dinner was confirmed when we booked - only to find out more than 24hr later it was canceled once it was too late to make other plans. There should be better synchronisation between Sundowner and Sorrentos booking system to avoid other travellers missing out on a much anticipated dinner to finish a perfect evening. If we’d known this, we would have booked another evening cruise and dinner package elsewhere or a full day trip with another company, which we’d avoided doing because most returned too late to board the sundowner cruise. Pretty disappointing. Disappointment aside, it was a lovely evening ... but I’d recommend booking dinner separately elsewhere.

Had a great cruise, sunset was amazing, very relaxed atmosphere. Hosts were professional and made the cruise comfortable in every way. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone. Will be going again for sure.

Lovely evening

It was a great start to our hens night! The host was bubbly and very accommodating and the view of Airlie was lovely. The highlight was definitely getting to see a few dolphins during the cruise.

Amazing experience!

We recently had family up from Sydney and sundowner sunset cruise was a great way to show our visitors Airlie Beach from another perspective. The staff were really friendly and we all had a great night. I’ve done this tour a couple of times, and will be bringing the next lot of visitors for a sunset cruise too. The skipper was awesome with the kids too, even letting them have a turn of driving the boat. It made their day! We had a few drinks and found the prices very reasonable. The nibblies were just enough to keep us happy until dinner after the cruise. I couldn’t eat the crackers because I’m gluten intolerant, but everything else was fine. Look forward to going out again!
