A co-worker and I took a day trip down to Agra to see the Taj Mahal on a free day during a recent business trip, and we were set up with Aadesh through our hotel. He met us at the train station as we arrived and gave us a fantastic tour of the Taj, Red Fort, and some of the local vendors. I'm typically sceptical of when guides funnel you to specific vendors or businesses, but I particularly enjoyed the hand knitted rug manufacturer. Aadesh was friendly, knowledgeable, and very easy to understand. I would recommend him to any tourists visiting Agra for a day.

2 and a half hour tour of the Taj Mahal

I had an overnight stay at the Doubletree Hilton in Agra who arranged this tour for me from the hotel. Driver plus guide from the hotel. My pick up was at 1230 an I arrived back at the hotel just after 3 pm. I was travelling alone, so the 2,5 hours that I had to visit the Taj Mahal grounds and inside was more than adequate. My guide Rehan was 1st class. From start to finish he was excellent. Both nowledgeable and personable, he guided me through the tour and provided me with exactly what I needed. Not too much and not too little - his ability to understand and gage what I was interested in was spot on. From my experience - and I have travelled a lot, this is quite rare. Rehan simply gave me all the options in terms of additional tours, provided the relevant information, without over or underselling and let me decide what I prefered to do. As I was travelling alone, this was a smooth afternoon for me and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. I can imagine that if I was travelling in a group and with company, Rehan would cater accordingly and no doubt the tour would have been longer and perhaps encorporating more, but equally as well. I would have no doubt in recommending this tour guide to either groups or solo travellers. Thank you Rehan for a job well done froma =n appreciative traveller! My guide Rehan was 1st class. I was in for a quick visit from USA to Delhi and wanted to visit the Taj Mahal since everyone I knew had raved about it. I typically don't like visiting monuments as I am more of a nature person. Taj Mahal was very different and am glad I did visit. All thanks to sunny my tour guide whom I met just outside Taj Mahal having booked him a day before my visit to the Taj. Sunny was very knowledgeable, well spoken, mild mannered, enthusiastic, accomodative and very friendly. He is definitely a highly nuanced tour guide you can find if you are visiting the Taj. He knew many details about the taj, got me some amazing photos which was totally instagram worthy. I visited the Taj Mahal on the 16th November 2019. It was my first visit to India. I organized a car from my hotel the JW Marriott at Aerocity to travel to Agra where the Taj is located. The hotel also organised a guide to meet me. His name was Atul and he was fantastic. So professional and knowledgeable. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. I would have been lost without him. You won’t need to hire a professional photographer as he’s prepared and capable of getting your best shots. In and around Agra, he took us only to the best demonstrations of the craftsman for textiles-rugs & cloths but the family that is in the line of the builders of the Taj. My wife and I had the pleasure of taking a day tour of the Taj Mahal with Atul, our tour guide. Atul went beyond the mere telling of legend. He went on to show us the stories that occurred at the beautiful location. We walked the site and discussed the circumstances of the history, and every detail came with a story--just the way a good tour should be. Throughout our tour, Atul took our photograph as if he were a professional photographer. Atul's tour was just what we Westerners needed to maximize our enjoyment! 5 stars. And don't forget to see how the craftsmen make the elaborate marble designs after.

Excellent experience

I had the privilege of spending the day with Atul as my guide for the tour of the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. His knowledge of the attractions was excellent and his timing when presenting information allowed for me to grasp the historical significance of the sites and did not overwhelm me with to much information at one time. Atul was more than willing to help with picture taking allowing me to be in multiple shots even though I was on the tour by my self. I know have great pictures to remember the experience by that are much better than any selfies I would have take on my own. Additionally, Atul was able to point out idal spots to take great pictures throughout the tour. At the Agra Fort Atul was able to get us quickly past the line for tickets avoiding a lengthy wait in line. Afterwards Atul was able to recommend several shops that provided excellent demonstrations of both hand crafted marble inlays and hand knotted rugs. The day was wrapped up with a visit to a wonderful local restaurant. The overall experience was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I would highly recommend Atul for anyone looking to have a memorable experience in Agra.

Ravi took us on a 1.5 day tour of Agra and the entire experience was great! My new life coach!

Ravi was great, good English, clear thinking, and a lot of extra knowledge. High point came over lunch when I started teaching me things about Indian food, how it was made, how they bake the bread, the tandoori, how you should eat etc. Also fun insights on the origins of the name India, from Sindu to Hindu to Indu. I might try a new life when I return home to Iceland. Two glasses of water before breakfast!

Tour in Less than 2 Hours with cut the line Pass

This was an amazing experience. We cut all the lines and were in and out in 2 hours. For an additional $100 you can have a photographer walk around and take the most breath taking photos of you with the Taj. So happy we did this!!

Great tour with Atul

My dad and I just finished a tour of the Taj Mahal and other historic sites with our guide Atul. He knew all of the shortcuts and got us in and out pretty painlessly. Also took great pictures which is always a plus. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the site as well as the other places he took us. His English was perfect and shared a lot of great information. Overall, we really enjoyed the tour and couldn’t recommend it enough.

Wonderful Tour

I took a tour of the Taj Mahal and Agra with Atul as my guide earlier this week. Atul was wonderful - very pleasant, excellent English, knew all the shortcuts (best entrances to use, time of day, etc). His knowledge of the Taj was extensive, but he scaled it to my interest level. He also doubled as a great photographer - and knew all of the best places to get a photo on the grounds! We also visited a rug store, marble store, and jewelry store and the craftsmanship was very impressive. The pricing is possibly higher than other places in India, but that seems to be consistent in Agra. I did end up buying some sapphire earrings :) Overall - would absolutely recommend Atul to anyone visiting!

Great day at the Taj Mahal with Atul

I have been dreaming to visit this magnificent monument for long time. I took the opportunity during a recent business trip in Delhi to extend my stay of one day. I left Delhi early in the morning and arrived in Agra around 9:30 AM. There I was welcome by the guide Atul from Taj Calling Day Tour. He brought me around all morning explaining very well all the story that surrounds this fantastic site. He showed me everything, especially the details, that one alone, or with a a lousy guide does not see. I asked a lot of questions and he very clearly answered all of them, showing dedication and passion, which are qualities very important for visitors to familiarise with the site seen. This guy knows the best spots in Taj Mahal for taking pictures and he kindly took a lot of picture with me inside, which never happened to me when I travel alone. Great. As I come from Germany he also enjoyed alternating an explanation in perfect English with some parts in fluent German. Whauu! Thank you Atul for giving me this great opportunity and for making my dream to visit Taj Mahal come true. I will bring this in my memories for long long time. Informed Agra Fort visit ...

Ravi accompanied us for this informative tour. Moreover, he also picked up munchies for our young kids as we were traveling from Fatehpur Sikri - and there are no reliable lunch stops in-between. My wife is a history buff and Ravi more than answered her questions. Overall a great experience and Ravi is highly recommended (and yes his English language skills are fantastic - by US standards)

Awesome experience! I went there with Shahnawaz as a tour guide, and it was great, he speaks Spanish and he explained me all the beautiful history and details of the Taj Mahal in a perfect way. I booked the trip through Trip Advisor. Before, however, I had already contacted Nitin by email taking out my doubts. He was very kind and answered all my doubts. The driver information was sent by WhatsApp the day before the trip. At the day booked, the driver arrived on time schedule previously. The trip to Agra was taken in a car in good condition and clean. Driver educated and kind. We stopped once to go the bathroom on the way in and back. In Agra I was welcomed by the Rishab. The young guide is very educated and knowledgeable about the history of the place. He was very attentive and always helpful and keen to pass on as many details as possible and keep beggars away. Hw also helped us to skip the lines. We stopped for lunch at a good restaurant with decent buffet and air-conditioned. Lunch is included in the price of the trip. I highly recommend the experience for those looking for a hassle-free trip and want to focus on just the ride. I wish success to all who have attended to me so cordially.

Outstanding Tour Guide For Agra

We toured the Golden Triangle, starting in New Delhi, where we stayed at the JW Marriott. The Concierge set us up with Taj Calling Day Tours. Our tour guide, Ravi, could not have been better. I went to India for business and during our stay in Delhi one local friend recommended us to talk with Ravi and visit Agra. Definetily it was a very nice trip. Ravi is well connected with everyone in Taj Mahal, so your visit is going to be very different than going alone or with other tour guide, he knows all the good photo spots and its a perfect guide to know more about the history of all the beautiful places in Agra.

Day trip to Taj Mahal and Agra Fort

My husband and I travel extensively with work and holidays. Our time spent with Ravi Chaurasia was a memorable and informative visit and one of the best guides we have ever experienced. We organised it through the concierge at the JW Marriott in Delhi. Ravis spoken English is excellent. He has a great way of avoiding the big queues and is a great photographer. We have some lovely photos of the two of us which is unusual for us as we are not great at the selfies!!!! He was also very good at allowing just the right amount of time at each attraction as you do not want to leave Agra any later than 2.30pm if you are driving back to Delhi.

Raj was our tour guide for me and my family, couldn't have had a better tour guide. In fact I told all of my friends about him and that if they ever make this trip (Because they should!) to let me know so I could put them in touch with him. I'm pretty well traveled and he's one of the best tour guides I've ever met. Patient, friendly, understanding, and a great guide for anything you pretty much need. He provided great recommendations for jewelry stores, souvenir shops, and authentic restaurants. I highly recommend him and his company.

He made our visit to TAJ MAHAL so easy, and so memorable.

Taj Mahal was THE place we were dreaming to visit in India. However, it was a 3 hours drive from Delhi. We didn't know how to organize this. Train, Car, one day, 2 days, where to eat, ... ? It took one phone call to TAJ-CALLING and everything was settled. Nitin Singh was a great organizer and a great guide. He organized the tour according to our needs. He sent us a great knowledgeable driver, and the drive looked so short. Nitin's stories about Taj Mahal were amazing; he made the place come to life again. Then we asked to do some shopping in Agra: He knew everyone and all the right places. He took us to a great restaurant for a typical Indian lunch. I would recommend this company for any place you would wish to visit in India; ask for Nitin, a great guy and a great guide.

Must see wonder of the world

We had planned our trip to India with the Taj Mahal being a focus of our adventure. Unfortunately our plans had to change when there was a great amount of Fog rolling in. We were going to go at the crack of dawn as we only had less than 15 hours in Agra. Under great advice and planning Nitin monitored the weather and had us visit when it would be clearer. it was crowded but with the tour being lead by Ravi, we had all our questions answered and given a great history lesson with a lot of details. If you go to the Taj please do your self a favour and use Nitin and his company, he also arranged all of our travel throughout India for your group of 8 in a comfortable bus and fantastic driver Deeraj. from Jaisellmer to Delhi with stops in Jodhpur, Jaipur, Ranthambore, Agra to Delhi

Demystifying Taj Mahal and Agra with Nitin

Nitin is an excellent guide. Not only that he is knowledgeable but he does it with heart. He is very professional. We felt in good hands at all times. He is also a very good photographer. He knows all the perspectives to take the best pictures. I highly recommend him.

Fabulous Guide to the Most Beautiful Building I Have Ever Seen!

My daughter and I spent about 3/4 of the day with Nitin Singh, from 7:30 am to 3:00. (She is 27 years old so I'm characterizing this trip as "Friends" as she is no longer a teenager.) Nitin gave us a wonderful tour of the Taj Mahal, being very knowledgeable about the building's history, context, architects, builders, and of course the Emperor Shah Jahan who built it in memory of and as a grave for his 14th wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Nitin knows all of the best photo angles and opportunities and made very sure that we took advantage of them all! What particularly impressed my daughter and I was that he obviously had a good relationship with the security guards and support personnel in and around the building. This enabled us, for example, to be able to stop for a moment in the interior and see the translucency of the marble with a small flashlight. They clearly like him and do what they can to help his clients have a great experience. He guided us to two nice places for shopping, but did not exert undue pressure to buy anything. We liked him so much that we made sure he would be the guide for my husband the next week, who coincidentally was traveling to India on business and wanted to see the Taj Mahal. Mike also had a great experience with Nitin and was very impressed and happy with his experience. Unlike Michelle and I, Mike had the time to go to Agra Fort and he enjoyed that tour very much as well. I am a guide myself here in the Washington, D.C. area (Library of Congress and Hillwood Museum and Gardens) and so I can be very picky and critical if guides are not full knowledgeable and if don't pay attention to detail. I had nothing at all to criticize with Nitin. If I ever go back to India I will contact him for sure for another tour.
