Wonderful Agra Metro Tour

We were planning a trip to Taj Mahal and Agra Fort with our college friends. We wanted a budget tour and luckily we found SAM Tours & Travels on Google. We made a WhatsApp chat with them and asked for a cheap and economic Taj Mahal tour. The sales team suggested us to do this trip by Agra Metro. We came by bus from our college. The tour company arranged the Metro tour for our trip. We took Metro from Agra Fort station and our tour guide Mr. Singh made a good visit of Taj Mahal. Later, we visited Agra Fort . We also bought Agra's famous Petha from food store. Though the weather was not very good , we enjoyed Agra Metro tour very much and it was worth our money.

Best English / Spanish Guide - From a couple that doesn’t do Guides

We are not one for guides, preferring mostly just to do things on our own to save and explore. We took the chance for this tour with S.A.M since our time was short in Agra and really wanted to make the day we had effective. Avi and our driver were both amazing. Honestly, Ravi was more akin to someone your friend living in India would recommend. Knowledgeable, friendly, and constantly looking to make sure we had a good time. Major bonus was the fact he could have given the full tour in Spanish for my wife had we chose. Also, his constant pushing for us to see the “baby Taj” turned into a major “I told you so” moment as it ended up being one of our favorite spots. Anyone I know coming to Agra from now on will be directed to S.A.M Tours and especially Ravi. Sincerely, it made our trip better than we could have done by ourselves.

Great half day experience!

We had a great tour with Pawan and learned so much about the architecture and design of the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. I appreciated all the detail on the artisan work that went into the development of these great wonders. The tour was super convenient as well, with a driver who made the transition between locations extra easy. Would highly recommend!

Great experience with Sam Travel for 1 day trip in Agra to see Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Very knowledgeable guide, smooth pick up from the train station, comfortable car and very, very reasonable price compared to other travel agencies. Also, our train from Agra to Jodhpur got delayed, and Sam Travel arranged a hotel for us to stay at while waiting for the train and mid-night pick up from hotel to train station. Greatly recommend and would use again.

Best Taj experience

The tour was very nice. Starting from the booking, the pickup and the guide, everything was top notch. Esp our guide Mr Shyam, who is one of the most polite person I've ever met. Very knowledgeable and experienced, with perfect spoken English. Only negative feedback I can give is about the Driver, who was a bit harsh and did not always follow our wishes. For eg. Missing directions and playing his own music.

We had Shyam as our tour guide and Ram as our driver and we would not have had it any other way. The tour itself is stunning. Seeing the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort is truly humbling, but the knowledge Shyam has about the history, the culture, the architecture and engineering brings the tour to life. Dream tour to the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort

This tour was a truly amazing experience. The tour guide Shyam bir Singh showed me around and provided me with a wealth of information about the history of the sites. It could totally visualize how life must have been centuries ago. He was very helpful and kind, and made sure I was well. Great tour - extremely insightful!

Great experience. Lots of information given to us about the Taj Mahal and Fort, extremely attentive to our needs. Driver (Kapil) was always on time and lots of cold water provided which was essential for the boiling weather. Tour Guide Shyambir was extremely knowledgeable. I would perhaps avoid seeing how the marble is made as part of the tour as it can feel pressuring to buy something. Overall great experience - thanks so much :)

Amazing tour with Shyam Ji

I can't recommend Shyam Ji enough. He was an excellent guide who was very patient. The ticket counter was closed at the Taj and he arranged to quickly get online tickets without any hassle. He was flexible with our tour as my 2 teens were struggling with the heat and we did a drive by tour of the Fort rather than going in. Then upon our request he took us to Sheroes Cafe where he patiently waited for us to get refreshments and then took us back to our Hotel. We felt very safe with Shyam Ji as female travellers. I would highly recommend!

Taj Mahal Tour

A sudden plan was executed excellent way by SAM Tours. The guide Shyam sir was excellent with immense knowledge of History, Art and Culture. He is the best guide we ever met. He was very calm, composed and pleasant throughout. He answered our all queries and we r spellbound by his knowledge. Driver Sanjeev was very welcoming and warm. Taj Tour

From the initial email till the end of the tour everything was simply perfect. Sunny kept me informed every step of the way and answered all my questions and concerns. Airport reception, Taxi to Agra and Taj Tour pickup and drop off back at airport was ontime. Driver was very nice took us to the best restaurant and showed us all major landmarks in Delhi. Our tour guide Shyam is very knowledgeable and explained each and every details and we went with old parents and he made sure to arrange shuttle service from entrance of tajmahal so they dont have to walk so much. He was very protective of us and made sure we got the best experience. Mr Shyambir made our Agra tour spectacular. The ride was comfortable. He made sure we had all the correct tickets and information before entering. He knew where to go for great photos. He knew so much history about the Taj, the baby Taj, and the Agra fort. We learned so much. He seemed excited to share all the history and didn’t mind our questions. He took us to get Petha upon our mention that we wanted to try it, and there was no pressure to buy anything or go to multiple shops, as we’ve experienced with other guides in India. Wow! From the moment I started messaging Mr Sunny to being dropped off back at the hotel after a days adventure, the service was impeccable. We wanted to do a tour of the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort and Mr Sunny suggested adding on the baby Taj as well. It was a great price for the hire of an AC car and an incredible tour guide for the day. Mr Sunny’s communication was clear and contained everything we needed from details of the car and driver to links of how to book the tickets for the attractions. Mr Shyambir was our tour guide and he was a wealth of knowledge. He told us the most interesting stories and the history of the Taj all whilst making sure our needs were met. Wonderful day tour of Taj Mahal and Agra Fort

My husband and I were visiting India this past week, and wanted a proper tour of the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. I had booked this tour through Viator and was immediately contacted by a gentleman named Bharat of Sam Tours. He was attentive and offered to come meet us the day before the tour at our hotel, to explain the tour and get our requirements from us. To be clear - this tour included a private car, a driver, and a tour guide that would pick up and drop off at our hotel in Agra. We had asked that we get a bigger car as my parents were accompanying us, and that we needed a wheelchair and attendant at the Taj Mahal for my father. Bharat took note of everything and assured me he would arrange for it - and promised to send the name of the tour guide and driver later that evening. Mr Nadeem (tour guide) and Mr Raj (Driver) arrived promptly at 10am the next day, with a nice clean Toyota Innova (comfortably sits six people with three rows, kind of like a low-to-the ground SUV). The tour was wonderful - Nadeem was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions, and curated the tour to our liking. My parents were a bit tired after the Taj and Nadeem and Raj had no problems bringing them back to the hotel and then taking us to the Agra Fort. Everything was well done and very well arranged, The only slight complaint I would have (and trust me, this is very minor) is that we did not realize that we would have to physically go up to the counter and buy the tickets at each attraction, nor did we anticipate that they would not have credit card availability. Luckily we had enough Indian rupees but this is something that the tour might want to share in advance and/or offer to take care of for the tourists (the lines get a bit long and can be overwhelming for non-Indian tourists). Otherwise, I can wholeheartedly recommend Bharat and his company, Sam Tours. Very good and reliable service.

Had a great visit to the Taj

Nadeem was our tour guide for our day trip to the Taj. We were short of time and only had time for the Taj. Nadeem was knowledgeable and helpful. He arranged all our tickets and was easily able to handle our group of 12 people. Even the recommendation for the restaurant for lunch was amazing. We had great food and returned to Delhi quite happily satisfied.

Provided great support and a well informed guide for the tour. Pick and drop from railway station provided. A good your with great memories. They gave us good lunch also as part of the package. The guide helped us buy authentic Agra pettha. Highly recommend this tour.

Absolutely fantastic! This tour made our visit to Agra

This tour was worth every penny. Shyam Bir absolutely made our trip to Agra with his knowledge, humour and kindness. I spoke to Sunny from Same Day Tours via the very helpful live chat on their website and asked if they could accommodate doing a tour to see the sunset at the Taj, which they could! We were picked up at our hotel in Agra at 2pm by Sunny and our driver, and went off to pick up our tour guide Shyam Bir. After him and Sunny swapped places we headed off to Agra Fort. It was unfortunately hammering it down with rain when we got there, but it did not dampen our spirits, least not Shyam's. We'd brought light raincoats which were perfect, as the rain stopped shortly after and these were simple to carry. He offered to get our tickets for us (we provided the cash) to save us queuing which was nice – there was barely any queue, but it saved any hassle. Standing at the gates Shyam started with the first of all his fantastic knowledge of the history of the fort, telling us all about the moat and how well fortified the fort is and was when it was first built. As we went round he gave us such a rich, funny and interesting history lesson for all of the different buildings inside the fort, constantly giving great insights into the uses of each area of the buildings inside and really brought each room to life. Shyam not only gave us a fantastic tour of the fort, but also made sure to take some wonderful photos of us both which we will treasure. He was even kind enough to hold our coats for us when he did so too. We then got picked up again by the driver and headed to the Taj Mahal at around 4pm. Shyam made the entrance to the Taj a breeze, ensuring we got on the shuttle buggy from the entrance gates to the ticket hall, and similarly got our tickets for us as it was very crowded. With our entry coins, bottled water and our shoe covers we headed in and Shyam continued to bring even the entrance buildings to life, explaining all about where the construction workers lived, even down to why there are that amount of buildings and that many rooms. As we headed in Shyam made sure we got great pictures from the entrance area and then throughout the gardens. He gave us plenty time to get some great snaps in the walk up to the Taj, and when we were ready he took us to one of the side gardens away from the crowds and gave us a fantastic introduction into the history of Shah and Mumtaz. We then headed up to the main building (which is worth the 200 INR extra ticket cost), to go inside, see its magnitude from outside, and get a great view of the river behind. We had some time whilst the sun was beginning to lower get some photos outside, and then we headed in and Shyam showed us the incredible craftsmanship that went into all the gemstones that make up all the artwork on the walls of the Taj Mahal. Afterward we caught the tail end of the golden hour and got some truly awesome shots, just what we were after from a sunset at the Taj Mahal. Shyam left us to it and let us sit and soak in the sunset. We then met up where we came in and headed home. Our driver met us all after we walked back to the entrance, and we headed to our hotel, thrilled with the fantastic day we just enjoyed. They were even kind enough to stop off at an ATM for us and made sure we safely got our cash out too. I can't recommend this tour enough!

Truly amazing experience!

My fiancée and I booked this guided tour as part of our visit to India. We travelled from New Delhi to Agra by train. When we arrived in New Delhi, we almost fell victim to a scam and I mentioned this to Sunny when talking about our tour. He said he would make sure we felt safe and he was absolutely right! We arrived in Agra at 8am and were greeted by a representative with a name card. He showed us to the vehicle and we set off on our tour in a lovely air-conditioned car (much needed!). We picked up our tour guide, Shyam and went to the Taj Mahal. Shyam was incredibly knowledgeable of the monument and told us all sorts of information about the Taj Mahal, from the Moghul times in India through to the impact it has today and everything in between. We spent a lot of time discussing the differences in education between England and India (all 3 of us are working in education) which helped us get to know Shyam. Our guide was equally knowledgeable about the Agra Fort, going into the same detail as he had done so when talking about the Taj Mahal. Shyam also recommended some places to have lunch and to look at the art that goes went in to some of the masterpieces that were once found at both the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. At the end of the tour, the representative who met us walked us to the platform at Agra Station to make sure we were confident in getting back to New Delhi. I am beyond thankful for Sunny and how he organised our day, to Shyam for the incredible wealth of knowledge he passed on to us and for the representative and the driver for making sure we were well looked after. I would highly recommend using this agency for any guided tours in Agra as they will go above and beyond to make sure you have an incredible experience in this wonderful city. PS if you have Shyam as your tour guide, he takes some incredible photos with your phone!

Very informed tour of Taj Mahal

While it certainly would have been possible to visit the Taj Mahal on our own, it was so good to have a guide to provide us with history and information about how it was built. We were able to appreciate the intricate details so much more than had we been on our own. The guide was great - highly recommend!

Tour of Taj Mahal and Agra Fort

My husband, friend and I were met at the station by Sonny as soon as we stepped off the train in Agra. Excellent first impressions of the service as Sonny is a lovely person, as was Raj, our driver. We then met our excellent guide, Shyamveer who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Agra, the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort, without being boring! Our visit to these beautiful landmarks was hugely memorable! Shyamveer was happy to show us the very best vantage points from which to take photos, rather than paying a photographer to take them. He was only too happy to take plenty of photos for us. As it was very hot, Shyamveer was careful to give us options for the most comfortable, flexible and practical itinerary so that we could rest and pace ourselves. He didn’t want us to feel pressured to buy anything at the gem inlay place but, be warned, while the demonstration is interesting, the hard sell is definitely there. Be firm in your resolve if you don’t really want to buy anything! Overall, an excellent service was provided by everyone at SAM Tours- highly recommended.

The best time we had in India.Simply Beautiful!

We found SAM Same Day Tour 24 hours before flying..to be honest we had no clue what to expect and what to do Delhi. So i was speaking to Mr.Sunny (the owner) he suggested the Agra half day tour would suit my schedule as i was travelling with my 2 young kids, my wife and my mother in law. On the 2nd day we decided to go to Agra, we meet out driver Mr.Ramkumar at the hotel lobby to be driven to Agra, we had a good 3 hours drive with the Toyota Innova which was provided.The car was like brand new,clean and comfortable to accomodate all of us. As we arrived in Agra, we we greeted by Mr. Sunny and our personal tour guide Mr.Pawan. I would say seeing Taj Mahal for the first time was mind blowing and amazingly beautiful. No words can explain the beauty of it. The kids enjoyed taking pictures of Taj Mahal with various poses,as we hired a personal photographer in Taj Mahal :) Our tour guide,Mr.Pawan was very helpful and informative as he is from Agra,which saved us alot of time. Amazing tour for those short on time in Agra

my sister and I did the half day tour as we only had one day in Agra. we booked through Viator and S.A.M same day tours provided the tour, Shyamveer being our guide. It was amazing! Shyamveer picked us up in a clean and aircon taxi with Pradeep being our driver and we headed to the Taj Mahal. we were able to leave our bags in the taxi and they were safe (at the Taj, only small bags are allowed). Shyamveer was so helpful, he paid for the electric tuktuk to the entrance to the Taj as cars can only go so far, he also helped us buy tickets for the Taj and as well as being so knowledgable and able to answer all our questions, he also acted as our photographer! he talked us through some of the history of India as a whole as well as how the Taj came to be built. we then headed to a large shop that had a live demonstration of how the semi precious stones were inlayed into the marble, obviously this was an opportunity to buy souvenirs but there was no pressure to purchase anything. we then headed to Agra Fort and again Shyamveer was very knowledgeable of the building, the architecture and the history of the building. Pradeep was even happy to call in to a shop so we could buy lunch on the way back to our hotel. This is the perfect tour if you are short on time in Agra and want to see 2 of the biggest, most famous sights.

We choose the half day agra tour of taj and Fort as we didn't had much time and we wanted to see both. Tajmahal is beautiful as the weather was also very good. In all these people are cooperative and responsive to all queries. We recommend.
