Wonderful day with awesome guide Bruce

Wonderful day spent with Bruce our guide and driver.We visited 4 small boutique style wineries.We enjoyed them all.Had delicious platter of home made bread,cheeses,cured meat.chutney salad etc for lunch.Drove past the Cube and through Glenig.Visited chocolate shop on way home.Just the right length of time for a winery tour.We enjoyed this more than previous Barossa Valley wine tour.We loved the Mc Claren Vale region.Many thanks to Bruce who is the lovliest man for making our day so memorable.

Nice quiet day at the wineries

The tour company was lovely - answered the phone immediately, I was able to book with less than 24 hour notice over the phone. I believe our tour guide’s name was Inez? She was sweet, funny and knowledgeable giving us facts along the drive to stay entertained. We stopped to look at Kangaroos and the beach and a drive to The Cube to see it from the outside for photos, which was really nice to add to the tour! If you are looking for something low key, this is a great tour. If you want “party vibes” vineyard day, this is not it unless you get lucky with a full tour and like-minded people (we had a total of 4) or you are in a large group. I liked 2 out of the 4 wineries, so I would have liked better wines/wineries personally. Lunch was lovely, but I do recommend eating breakfast. Be ready to drink! You’ll start with wine bright and early :)

Amazing Day!

Amazing day. Danny gave us an informative tour of the region of Adelaide and the McLaren Vale. Selected great wineries and had some great Dad jokes up his sleeve. Thank you for an amazing day.

Enjoyed our tour.

The wineries we went to were all very good and gave us plenty to taste. The only thing I would have preferred is a pickup at 9:30 instead of 9:00. We took a little sightseeing on the way ( which we had already done ourselves).

Definitely do this tour! Well worth it.

Fantastic day to the vineyards with Danny who is so knowledgeable. He chatted happily and told us so much information about the region. Even his dad jokes got a few laughs. Really enjoyed Oliver Taranga winery and Dog Ridge which was a hidden gem! Thank you for a perfect day.

Everything was just wonderful. Excellent tour guide, great food and wine, would recommend to all. Of particular note, the Oliver’s winery.

Dishonest tour

We were disappointed with this tour because we did not go to the wineries outlined on the booking. We paid a lot for this tour and that was disappointing. Danny wasn't a great driver either. He didn't like to engage with us, got annoyed at the other couple who he had to drive back to Adelaide city. He didn't seem he wanted to be there and that's not great for a wine tour.

Fantastic experience

We loved this tour. Danny, our tour guide made our trip exciting by sharing his knowledge of historical facts about the region. He took us to 4 small family owned wineries and we enjoyed each one of them. The lunch was delicious.

McLaren is must do for any wine lovers

Great day of wine tastings in McLaren Vale. 4 highly rated vineyards were visited with a varied selection of wines to taste. We had lovely platter or local fare for lunch and even made a pit stop at the famous chocolate shop and cube. Fabulous!

A day well spend

Out guide was super fun and had lots of interesting details about the area and McLaren Vale. The wineries were well selected and the lunch very delicious.

What a great day out! Our guide, Vince, was absolutely amazing. He made sure that we had everything we needed. The vineyards chosen were great, and the whole experience was worth a 5 star review. This is the second, and certainly not the last, time we have done this tour.

An amazing small group tour to discover wonderful wineries

Amazing wine tasting tour! We’ve had a wonderful time discovering 4 Hunter Vale wineries. Our driver and guide was a passionate and knowledgeable person who made our experience even more lovely. We did the tour in a group of 6 and I highly recommend taking small groups tour to have the opportunity to meet people and chat. Also, the pace is much more chill. The meal included was lovely! I highly recommend this tour! NB: you should have breakfast before doing the tour because not every winery will serve you something to eat with the tasting.

You won’t be disappointed

We had a great day guided by Bruce who was very knowledgeable and accomodating. Every winery we visited were great venues and the lunch platter was superb. We had a bit of time up out sleeve so Bruce was kind enough to fit an extra stop in which wasn’t in the original itinerary. Great day had by all.

Very average

Firstly, we didn’t go to the wineries listed - which was disappointing, what was even more disappointing was the lack of explanation why the plan had changed, but instead being told - we were going to “Danny’s favorite wineries”. The very bad dad jokes, chaotic explanations and lack of music encouraging fun, relaxed time - felt like we were not on “our wine tour” but on “Danny’s” which was not right. Nothing wrong with the man, however better consideration to the needs of the group should have been had. The tour felt flat and simple things would make it so much better (like play some music, explain why the original plan had changed, don't make it about 'your taste, your sense of humour'. Out of all the wine tours I have ever done around Australia this one was average.

4 wineries in the spectacular McLaren Vale Winery

Our tour guide was very informative and his knowledge was amazing. The 4 wineries we visited were all lovely. I did in particular like the last winery we visited as we could pick any 4 wines of our choice which was a lovely change. I would like the winery company to consider people with not the same mobility as other guests and park where it is more accessible instead of having to climb a lot of stairs. And maybe another step to get into and out of the bus.

Had such a wonderful day, great group of people on the tour. Vince was a very knowledgeable driver. All topped by delicious wine and yummy lunch.

Great day - lots of good wine and food

Despite the wet weather, the six of us had a great day. We visited 4 excellent wineries, had a wonderful lunch and visited an art shop and a chocolate shop. The guide and driver - Vince was fantastic and really ensured we had a great day. The pick up was smooth, the trip down and back fantastic and everything went to plan. Well worth the money. It was great fun!

Intro to McLaren Vale

Danny took us to four wineries: shingleback, Oliver’s, Leconfield and Dog Ridge. They were all brilliant in their own way but Oliver’s was my favourite. The lunch platter at Leconfield was delicious too. I had no idea that McLaren Vale was such a beautiful area with a lot of variety. I would recommend this tour to anyone. Being a small group, Danny was able to personalise the tour a little, like stopping at a chocolate shop in town along the way. Thanks for a great day out, Danny!

McLaren Vale Winery tour

We visited some great boutique wineries and sampled some fantastic wines. Danny gave us lots of information on where we were travelling to and things of interest we passed along the way. Lunch was really good too. We would thoroughly recommend this tour , numbers are small and wineries all well worth a visit. You can get wines shipped back to other states too, so no need to carry your purchases around with you .

Incredible McLaren Vale!

My fiance and I went on a full day tour with Innez and it was AMAZING! Innez made everything so easy, from hotel pick up to background info on the wineries to lunch to drop off. I cannot recommend this tour enough. McLaren Vale is surprisingly close to Adelaide, so it takes no time at all to get there. Much closer the Yarra Valley is to Melbourne or the Hunter is to Sydney, and the wine is nothing short of excellent. I think we bought 10 bottles of red.. Great job Innez and team, we will be back!

Nice day out to sample some great wines with a great light lunch of local produce

Nice day trip to 4 McClaren Vale wineries, with a light but very nice lunch which included a range of local produce like cheeses, meats, bread and olive oil. Small people mover was packed so a little cramped. Plenty of room in back for purchases including a little fridge in case someone wanted a chilled wine for dinner that night. Driver knowledgeable about district wines and also a bit of history. Nice day out.

BEST WINE TOUR WE’VE DONE! A must do!

This is our second time with this company. It’s taken us 4 years to come back because of COVID. Honestly the most relaxed, fantastic day out. We love the smaller wineries and the personal interactions with the cellar door hosts. Beautiful honey mead mix at Maxwells, of which we purchased. Unique bee hive within the wall there as well. The platter at Hamilton’s was outstanding with all local produce, including homemade bread, pate, meats and salad. Lovely to meet Tex, the dog at Oliver’s Taranga, we bought pate and delicious olive oil from there. We also bought a few bottles of wine along the way as well! Good value and a fantastic day out AGAIN. A huge thx to Innez ❤️

Wonderful wine tour

My partner and I recently went on this wine tour exploring McLaren Vale. It was a wonderful day, and Danny was a great guide. We had a wine tasting at 4 wineries which were all unique and varied in size, with one of these including lunch - all were fantastic. I would recommend having a big breakfast before you go, as lunch is your third stop of the day and is only a grazing platter so nothing too substantial.

Lovely Wine Tour

My partner and I recently took this delightful all day wine tasting tour in the McLaren valley and highly recommend it. Vincent, our guide, picked us all up on time, gave us a helpful history of Adelaide and the wine region and took our group of 8 to four vineyards. We tasted several wines per vineyard and were not at all rushed. We requested a vegetarian lunch and were given a nice plate of local cheeses, olives, dips, etc. It was a very lovely day.

Simply fabulous!

Best wine tour I have ever had and I visited a few in France and Italy as well. What I loved about it is that the guide did take us to the small but excellent wineries which you could tell had a real passion for it, made good wines and really aimed at creating unforgettable customer experience as opposed to big well known wines who think they made it and thus they do not give a damn about customer, always rush tastings, not offering water to drink, and keep customers standing so as to ged rid of them quickly because the next bus will be arriving in 15 minutes! We did not feel we were obligated to buy and this is the way to sell your wines! Our guide Dan was very knowledgeable and well organised, he also knew the subtle art of giving a wine buying advice (as opposed to other tour guides' clumsy attempts to sell by saying : "They are giving you special discount, it is only for today, blah blah blah".

Best way to see the best of McLaren Vale

Vince was a fantastic host. Very informative, great stories and all round great guy. Saw 4 wineries of various styles that included a ploughman's lunch. Great day out

Affable Expertise

Lovely conversation, funny and very knowledgeable about the region and about wine, truly a lovely day out in SA. Wineries were well selected, route was well curated and it was easy to organise wine purchases and shipping particulars. Lots of valuable local knowledge too! Will be recommending to friends back home!

Great Personalized Tour

We had an excellent day. Our tour guide Inez was fantastic. She shared information about the area and the historic relevance. The Cellar Door experiences were fabulous. Great day out

This was a very enjoyable day out. Our guide, Danny, was knowledgeable and good company. We learned a lot about Australian wine and McLaren Vale in particular. The pace was very relaxed and the platter lunch was excellent. We visited four cellar doors and sampled four to five wines at each of them. I would recommend this tour.

Amazing winery tour—highly recommend!

This was a wonderful wine tour! Danny, our tour guide, was so personable and made the tour so enjoyable! He took us to amazing wineries and kept us entertained with jokes and his wealth of winery knowledge. Highly recommend this tour!!

Excellent tour

Well organised and very informative. Did a Barossa tour the previous day with another company but this tour was significantly better in every way.

Great tour with friendly and informative guide.

We booked this tour as part of a long weekend in Adelaide. We were picked up from our hotel on time by our friendly and informative guide Danny. There was one other couple on the tour this day and we visited 4 wineries with a couple of extra stops to see some places of interest. Our guide also dropped us back at Glenelg beach so that we could get dinner and watch the sun set over the ocean. I would highly recommend this tour, loved McClaren Vale and the wines it had to offer, with the experience made all the better by our knowledgeable guide.

Solid Experience of McLaren Vale

Overall a nice day out with a pretty small group (total of 5 plus our guide Danny). Hotel pickup is prompt arriving at the time as notified the afternoon before making everything simple. Danny was a really nice fellow and gave some really great history about Adelaide. We went to four wineries and two were really good, but I have to say with Hugh Hamilton and Richard Hamilton I didn’t particular care for them (although the view from Hugh’s was very nice). They were nice but didn’t suit my taste, but everyone will different (although it seemed that a majority of us didn’t like their wines that much either). My main criticism really is I feel Danny just needs to be a little bit more engaging at the wineries. With other tours I had done the guide tends to integrate really nicely with the group and almost act as just another person of the tour (but without the wine tastings for them, good for us but unfortunate for them 😅). Danny tended to disappear for a bit and leave us to it which maybe some people will like more but I would have preferred more of a presence. But don’t take away the fact that he is a very nice person and approachable of course, but the feeling of distance and the choices of the Hamiltons stop it from being a 5 star review. Would also suggest a mic in the bus to ensure Danny can be heard as well as an offer to write names on the wines we purchase.

We had a lovely day with Danny. We went to 4 vineyards which were all very good. Danny was friendly and relaxed, allowing us plenty of time to enjoy the wines and the whole experience. We would highly recommend.

The best way to experience the wine regions

We absolutely loved our McLaren Valley Wine Tour with Danny as our guide. We were lucky enough to have Danny take us to both McLaren and Langhorne Creek (on two separate tours) and we loved every minute of both. Danny is very knowledgable on the local history and landmarks, as well as the wineries which were all stunning. We will definitely book again next time we visit!
