Lovely day in the Barossa and Hahndorf

A wonderful day out with a lovely group of fellow travellers and our charming, knowledgeable and very entertaining guide Maddy who shared with us the delights of Adelaide: the Barrosa and Hahndorf in particular. Maggie Beer's Farm Shop and Chateau Yaldara were highlights. Great wine, food and company ☺️ Carmel

A must do half day tour

We expected to be on a mini bus and ended up being chauffered by Parry. It was just my friend and I and the tour was so personalised and wonderful. Parry was such a great tour guide and we were in the comfort of a BYD vehicle. The only problem was the weather but this didn't stop us from enjoying the sights and the rain cleared for us to have a lovely stroll in Hahndorf. My fiend and i shared a lovely morning tea with Parry at a lovely restaurant in Hahndorf. I would recommend this tour and it would be a bonus if you had Parry as your guide as he is amazing.

South Adelaide Highlights

Excellent service from Barry couldn't have been more obliging and knowledgeable. Very good to see outside the city toped off with some wine tasting at the Cube.

Good value tour

Manee was our driver and he gave us lots of background information and history of the city and sites as we travelled from Adelaide to Mt Lofty and Hahndorf. In fact I think some of the info could help us win trivia competitions and/make new friends because they are so impressed by the depth of our knowledge. Car was good, v. comfy, good value tour.

Great experience

Scejon was our driver. Great sights. Very informative and knowledgeable of the area. Hahndorf was fantastic. Unfortunately Mt Lofty was clouded in, but you can't always predict the weather!!

Hahndorf tour

Paul was a great tour guide, very informative and made good on his promise to find a Koala. Seeing the Koala in his natural habitat.

Excellent Tour

We really enjoyed this tour. The driver/guide Maddy brought us to some wonderful places, including Mount Lofty, which provided great views of Adelaide, the charming German village of Hahndorf, with its great food, and delightful wine tastings. The group was small, which meant there was no hanging about. It was all great, and very good value, and heartedly recommended.

Highlights - best of Adelaide

This half day tour was a great overview of city highlights to give an idea of what Adelaide had to offer. Gave us a great insight of what we would like to explore in more depth. Time in Hahndorf was great allowing us to explore township. Would recommend this tour.

Brilliant day.

We had the most brilliant day touring Adelaide Barossa, visiting a couple of wineries, Maggie Beers farm and the beautiful town of Hahndorf. Thanks go to Maddy, our tour guide who was so informative and had a wonderful and humorous personality. We learned so much about Adelaide in such a short time. A wonderful tour indeed. Nice day trip

I was collected on time by Wassim at my hotel. The day was enjoyable, and the car was comfortable and new. The group were asked what they wanted to do and luckily we all agreed to do the same things. A pre-recorded commentary was played via Bluetooth and I found the sound production of that recording to be a bit harsh. I would have liked a more detailed commentary from the driver. Overall, I enjoyed my day and would recommend.

Connections, communication, comfort ,combined.

Paul was very flexible in arranging a Private Tour for us, with Sam, The acknowledgement , stories about the indigenous peoples and some Pioneers of Adelaide, meant a lot. Hahndorf, Lofty Summit, were two additional highlights enhanced by lunch at Victor Harbour. We thoroughly enjoyed many aspects of this tour.. Sams sense of humour. and narratives. As elders we felt we were given the time to appreciate the day more. Kia Ora Koutou, best wishes to you both. .

Ripped off

Just a con Booked for one tour turn up and get told this is a different tour. Manage to negotiate a solution that was good for both of us only to be totally ripped off by this company.

Dreadful experience

I am the friend who travelled with the person who booked this tour. The guide, Paul, called the Women's Hospital, 'Tits and Tots' and used offensive language often during the trip. He refused to believe that coffee and cake were included in the tour. He made me uncomfortable and unhappy. I wanted to leave his car and find my own way back but put up with him for 4 hours.

Excellent day out

Excellent day out. We booked the half day tour and were quite happy with that, but Paul the operator offered us to do the full day at no extra cost cause he was already going that way with other passengers. Lovely scenery and very informative drive through the city and Adelaide Hills. Nice stop at Hahndorf for morning tea then onto Goolwa and victor Harbor and back to the city via McLaren Vale.

BUMS ON SEATS DAY TOUR

My 89 yo mum and I only had one spare transit day in Adelaide during a much postponed trip due to all the virus lock-downs, so we had booked a half day Adelaide Highlights trip with Bums on Seats, and we were lucky enough to get Paul as our guide and driver as he upgraded us to the full day tour at no extra cost to us which then also included Victor Harbor and some wineries and photo opportunities. We had a magnificent day, the weather was totally perfect, the scenery and journey stunning & amazing. Paul was a jovial, jolly and knowledgeable tour guide, we loved his commentary and jokes and stories, and his care and concern for my elderly mum throughout the trip was very kind of him. He also dropped us back into the city right at the door of the shop we wanted to go to after the trip so my mum wouldn't have to do much walking. All round a lovely day with great memories and beautiful photos and we sincerely thank Paul for his great service and kindness in accommodating our special needs. Much appreciated. Mary & Elizabeth. Big mistake

Going by the reviews I’ve seen I sure wish Bob or Peter was our tour guide instead of the rude, abnoxious, condescending man that Paul is. His interpersonal skills were poor through out the whole tour. If you are looking for a tour like this look at other companies invade you get Paul. His tours are the cheapest for a reason. K&K

The Tour of a GEM

What makes a great tour guide Knowledge Personality and a great sense of Humour. That is what you get when Craig takes you threw his beloved Adelaide. His knowledge and passion is noticeable . He told us his aim was to make us want to live in Adelaide and by the end of the tour we did. I thoroughly recommend doing this tour with your family or friends it is a must. The information the sights the wine the cheese platters the overall experience is something one should experience on their own. I was taken back by Adelaide it is a beautiful gem. One of the many cities I would love to call home. Thank you Craig you did your Job to perfection.

Excellent daytrip

We had a great day with our driver Paul. Would recommend this for anyone. Our favorite was Hahndorf. Neil and Joan Pritchard

Lots of laughs

Lots of laughs with Paul and saw everything, the tour really got to the spots you would want to see. Hahndorf was the best and such a stunning spot in autumn. I would choose the Barossa tour next time, Goolwa and victor harbour were not that exciting for us.

Interesting Adelaide Tour

Enjoyed seeing the sights of Adelaide and the trip to Handorf with delicious morning tea. Mt Lofty was covered in cloud so it was disappointing not to be able to get there. Driver was a little off handed at times, but that added to the fun of the morning as the other people on the bus were pleasant. It would have been better if we could have had a few minutes to photograph the city especially from the hills.. I would have appreciated a little more info, although the driver Paul did explain that he is a Tour guide not historian.

Fun day out

Great tour with a laugh a minute! Completely flexible and accommodating which was wonderful. Paul you took us on quite the adventure!

Stunning experience

All in all it was a fun and informative tour with great wineries. Bums on Seats ensured a great time was had by all and were very accommodating throughout the day. The tour had a great selection of wineries and sites and I would recommend it to everybody

Cruise ship day trip

We booked a last minute mini bus with driver Paul for our group of 11 - pick up and drop off from our cruise ship then tailor made for us. We did a city highlights tour, before visiting Haigh’s chocolate factory, then on to Mount Lofty, before heading to Beerenberg’s family farm then a couple of hours in pretty Hahndorf before heading back through the city to the Port. Paul was a wealth of knowledge and it was very reasonably priced. Highly recommend

Fascinating tour!

There were a great many good points on this tour. The minivan was clean and comfortable and actually arrived early so no waiting around. Paul clearly has a tremendous amount of knowledge about the history, geography and wildlife of the area and a highlight was seeing a koala in it`s natural environment which we would have missed had it not been pointed out to us. We enjoyed all the stops on the tour and felt that the right amount of time was allotted in each stop. We appreciated the willingness to be flexible with the tour/ offer to stop at other locations if the passengers wanted to do that. We were brought back to our hotel in good time, which we were anxious about [we had an early flight the following day and had a lot to do before that].

Excellent tour

We were with a group of 10 from our cruise ship. Peter was our driver/guide and he was great. He pointed out all the sights on the way and we got a lot out if his information. We enjoyed the day thoroughly. Highly recommended.
